Ohio Couple Shares Touching Photos Of Their Lonely Dog At Daycare As She Had No One To Play With

If you ask me, Golden Retrievers are the life of every party. They’re goofy, social, and always, without a doubt, ready to make new friends. And if there’s a crowd of dogs playing, you can bet there’s a Goldie right in the middle of it.

But sometimes, even the happiest breeds have a hard time making friends.

One Ohio family couldn’t figure out why their five-month-old Golden Retriever puppy, Cherry, was struggling at daycare. While other dogs ran and played, Cherry just sat quietly off to the side. Her daycare photos were so saddening, they left the internet in tears.

Standing Alone With No Friends

Rachel, Cherry’s mom living in Ohio, had recently left her followers in tears, all due to her Golden Retriever’s touching photos from daycare.

In the viral video posted on her TikTok @goldencherrygirl, Rachel featured Cherry, her five-month-old pup with the text that broke hearts:

“Mom, do I have to go to daycare today? It’s been hard for me to make friends.”

Apparently, Cherry, who has just started visiting a local daycare, had trouble socializing with other dogs.

The video caption read:

“Why is she always standing alone?? And giving those sad eyes at daycare ugh.”

Cherry, who usually spends most of her days with her parents who work from home, is definitely a friendly dog. However, her daycare experience so far hasn’t exactly been great.

While most of her playmates spend their days socializing, playing, and just enjoying each other’s company, Cherry is filmed spending her time there all alone.

Before long, her saddening eyes caught on camera during a daycare photoshoot left the entire internet in tears. People reached out in the comments, expressing their solidarity with the sweet girl, hoping that she would soon find friends.

“I’ll quit my job right now and be a full time friend for this sweet angel,” a third user wrote.

Some users shared their own similar daycare stories with Rachel:

“They told me my baby doesn’t play with the other dogs and just sunbathes all day,” one user commented.

“I stopped taking my boy to doggy daycare when they told me he doesnt really play with the other dogs anymore and he sits in the corner of the fence waiting for my car to turn up … ALL DAY,” another added.

She’ll Find Her Pack, Fur Sure

One thing is for sure: Cherry is still a puppy and she has a whole life ahead of her. While her first daycare experience wasn’t how her owners planned it to be, there’s no doubt that Cherry will make friends. It’s only a matter of time.

In the meantime, Rachel and her husband continue to share Cherry’s daily videos, mostly of her enjoying her life to the fullest.

Cherry is adored by her parents and basically lives the life of her dreams. She is great with other animals, takes regular walkies and hikes, goes on many adventures, and enjoys taking cozy naps next to her hoomans.

The next thing on the list for her to conquer is daycare. And I can’t wait to see a positive update, hopefully soon!
