Sometimes, all it takes is just one chance at happiness – and for dogs, that’s all they need!
Squeem was as small as he was unlucky. Abandoned and left to fend for himself on the streets of Oregon, he had every possible obstacle standing in his way.
Weighing a mere two pounds as a full-grown adult, he was incredibly vulnerable – one wrong move or encounter with a larger animal could have ended in disaster.
But then, his life completely changed… and in the best way imaginable!
From Forgotten To Adored
Imagine coming across a two-pound fluffball wandering the streets – unbelievable, right? That’s exactly what happened when Squeem’s finder first spotted him.
He was trembling, covered in dirt, and clearly had been through a lot. As sad as it was, that moment marked the turning point in his life. The kind stranger scooped him up and took him straight to the Oregon Humane Society.
It didn’t take long for Squeem to win everyone over.
With his tiny frame, he was practically a pocket-sized pup, and the shelter staff couldn’t get enough of holding him and giving him cuddles.
Rather than keeping him in a kennel, the team decided to place him in a foster home. And it was there that Squeem’s true nature shined – he was clearly meant to be part of a family.
Luckily, he didn’t have to wait long for that dream to come true.
Hannah and her partner, V, heard about Squeem through a friend who shared his photos and story. The moment they saw him, they were smitten.
Maybe it was his wiry coat, maybe it was his oversized ears perched on such a tiny head – or maybe it was simply his undeniable charm. Whatever it was, they knew instantly they had to adopt him.
In just a matter of days, Squeem went from being a lonely stray to a cherished family member. His new moms even made a promise to the shelter staff: they’d keep everyone updated on Squeem’s life through social media.
“Local celebrity and former stray. Squeem came home with us this week on the condition that we make him a social media account so the shelter employees could keep up with him,” his owners shared in a TikTok post, featuring the little star’s latest snapshots.
And so, Squeem’s rise to fame began! Now with both Instagram and TikTok accounts, he’s amassed fans from all over the world, each one eager to shower him with love.
“How did this little boop boop end up in the shelter? I’m so glad he found a good forever home,” one follower commented.
“If he isn’t the cutest lil thing I’ve ever seen,” another added.
Small Dog, Big Personality
Squeem may be tiny in stature, but his personality is absolutely huge.
Three things sum him up perfectly: a hilariously unique bark, boundless enthusiasm for just about everything, and an adorable habit of spinning in circles nonstop.
He’s no lazy lap dog either – Squeem is always ready for action!
Now that he’s safe, loved, and living the good life, the little guy has nothing but adventures ahead. His story is only just beginning, and something tells me it’s going to be a joy to follow along.
