Puppies Dumped In The Maryland Woods Kept Crying For Help Until A Good Samaritan Discovered Them

Dog owners who dump their dogs don’t care about what happens to them next, nor do they feel the slightest sting of regret for betraying the most loyal creatures.

They never think about how frightened and lost the dogs feel when they realize that they are left all alone and that they have to fend for themselves.

Three yellow Labrador puppies who were dumped in the Maryland woods were terrified, too.

Feeling helpless and lonely, the pups huddled together in the trees, seeking comfort from each other.

Not knowing what else to do, the furbabies began barking, hoping that a good soul would hear them and take them somewhere safe.

A Good Samaritan Hears Their Desperate Cries

A woman who lived near the woods heard their cries, and in the morning, she discovered the puppies. She tried to gain their trust and take them to safety.

After she realized that the pups were too scared and nervous, the woman called the Harford County Sheriff’s Office and asked them for help.

Upon receiving the call for help, an animal control officer rushed to the scene.

Once she arrived and saw that rescuing the frightened puppies wouldn’t be easy, the officer decided to call several colleagues for backup.

When the officers came to the scene, they tried to approach the pups.

Unfortunately, the puppies were fearful of humans, and they shied away from them.

The kind officers were persistent in winning them over. When they offered them some delicious treats, the hungry dogs changed their minds.

“The puppies were hesitant. But after some patience and treats, our AC officers were able to get the puppies leashed,” Harford County Sheriff’s Office assistant director of media and public relations Keith Smithson told The Dodo.

The puppies were still a bit unsure of their rescuers, but they were sweet and friendly.

Looking Forward To Starting A New Life

The officers collected the pups and drove them to The Humane Society of Harford County in Fallston, Maryland, where they received a medical checkup.

The puppies, who were estimated to be five months old, were given a clean bill of health despite everything they went through.

The shelter staff cared for the dogs, cuddled them, and gave them a ton of love.

They absorbed their caregivers’ affection and started showing their playful personalities. Within a week, the furballs overcame their fear and started looking for their place under the sun.

Shortly after becoming available for adoption, the adorable puppies found forever homes.

Many thanks to the Good Samaritan who found the pups and called for help.

Thanks to you, they got a second chance at happiness with families who cherish them and adore them.
