Puppies Dumped On Street In Texas Were Freezing, So They Cuddled Up To Try And Stay Warm

When I think about puppies, the first thing that comes to mind is playfulness, happiness, and absolutely zero worries.

Being so adorable and gentle, these creatures truly deserve everything good in life. Unfortunately, this does not always happen.

There are so many instances where little puppies are being treated as if they are the meanest monsters in the world. Whenever I come across such a story, my heart shatters into a million pieces.

Sadly, today’s story is no different.

Poor Babies

When a Good Samaritan from Sealy, Texas, went for a walk during one freezing moment, they noticed something gutwrenching – three tiny puppies were abandoned in front of their apartment complexes.

The temperatures in Texas had just dropped incredibly low and they knew that spending the entire night outside left these puppies as cold as popsicle sticks.

Not being able to take them in, the Good Samaritan posted them on a local Facebook group before moving them to a vacant storage unit to get them warmed up.

They threw as many blankets as they could find on them and got all three puppies nice and cozy. Thanks to this, the puppies were able to survive!

One Facebook user who saw the post about the puppies contacted the Sauver Des Chiens German Shepherd rescue (SDC) knowing that they would offer these sweet puppies the help they deserved.

But, because they couldn’t get to them immediately, she decided to travel to the apartment complex herself, pick up the pups, and take them to her loving home where they would finally be warm.

New Beginning

As soon as the pups got to their new home, they were greeted in the best way possible.

“Her children quickly fell in love with the puppies and made it their mission to take care of them,” Kylie Jackson, SDC board of directors member and social media manager, told The Dodo.

Thankfully, the seven-week-old puppies were in good health, apart from the fleas covering their tiny bodies. But, nothing a good ol’ flea bath couldn’t fix.

The kids took the pleasure of naming the sweet puppies, where the first two became known as Artemis and Hephaestus, while the “goofy runt” got the name, Squirt.

The puppies remained with this loving family for the next couple of days, where they finally found out what love and affection were. Ultimately, they were transferred to a long-term foster home where they continued their recovery journey.

Currently, the babies are living with their new foster mom, Taite, having the best time of their lives.

“They are settling into their foster home, staying warm, and getting tons of rest and play time,” SDC wrote on Facebook.

The pups still have some growing up to do, as well as some necessary vet appointments and vaccines, but the second they are done with that, they will be up for adoption!

It is quite clear that all three puppies would make the best addition to any family. All they know is love and kindness and they are not afraid to share it.

“They love to play and quickly took to their favorite toy, a stuffed octopus,” Jackson said.

Seeing how far they have come, I am sure that in due time, these sweet little angels will find the perfect family with whom they will be able to share the absolute best things life can offer.

Good luck, guys. You got this!
