Helen is a very brave dog who has spent all of her life just moving from one place to another in hopes of finding some food to survive.
Her entire existence was only centered around that, and she has never gotten to experience what it feels like to be in a warm home with a family that loved her.
However, things would change for the better when Helen met a new stranger. This kind tourist felt sorry for her and called for rescuers from Howl Of A Dog to pick her up.
While she was waiting with her, she thought to check with anyone nearby to see if they knew anything about this dog.
A few people told her that she had been living in that particular area for a while and was just begging people for food most of the time.
They also told her that she was very likely a stray all of her life and never lived in a home.
After the rescuers came, they were really slow and careful, so as to make sure they didn’t scare her away.
They placed her in their car, and now it was time to take her back to the shelter.

The drive there was pretty long and the rescuers wanted to get there as soon as possible, so they could give her proper treatment.
The veterinarian examined her and realized that she was suffering from a disease called Anaplasmosis.
She was also six years old, which now puts a perspective on how long she was alone, and it’s just depressing thinking about it.
However, now was no longer the time for worry, as Helen’s life was about to change for the better.
She received all of the necessary treatment for her health issues and ate a lot of food to get her weight up a bit.
She was placed on an adoption list and didn’t have to wait very long to find someone special. A kind family came to visit her and they just clicked immediately.
They knew that she belonged with them, so now, Helen was going to her forever home with someone who truly cared for her.
It’s only thanks to this one simple thing this woman did that this wonderful and sweet dog has a new home now, and it goes to show once again how little it takes to be kind.
