Colorado Sisters Rescue A Stray In Saipan And Realize She Has More To Protect Than They Thought

When sisters Aria and Grace Keilbach relocated from Colorado to Saipan, they could not have imagined how profoundly their lives would change.

Their mission was to shield boonie dogs from cruelty, and over the years, they guided hundreds of strays into safe and loving homes.

One dog, Mango, a nursing mother, was spotted wandering alone along a roadside, her puppies nowhere in sight. As the sisters worked to bring her to safety, Mango seemed to be trying to communicate something urgent.

What they discovered the following day left them utterly speechless.

From the moment she was found, Mango showed a tender, gentle nature.

Though thin and worn from hardship, she stepped willingly into the humane trap Aria, founder of Boonie Babiesrescue, had set near the jungle road with her team.

Noticing that Mango was nursing, the rescuers combed the area in search of her puppies, but after a thorough sweep, nothing appeared.

They returned Mango to the shelter, thinking the search was over.

But Mango was far from finished.

At the shelter, she repeatedly nudged Aria, signaling with urgency. Following her cues back to the roadside, they soon heard loud, distressed cries echoing from the dense jungle.

Hidden deep within the brush, Mango’s puppies had been kept safe from harm.

“This super sweet mama found dumped on Lau Lau road had an amazing rescue journey in which she led us to her puppies hidden in the jungle,” Boonie Babies wrote on Instagram.

The team carefully worked through the undergrowth and eventually found two tiny pups, nearly buried beneath the foliage.

“We were in it, trudging through, ripping branches apart. She was right in the section that we were and just burrowed literally almost underground,” Aria told The Dodo.

Mango’s joy was unmistakable as she was reunited with her babies, finally having them secure at her side.

What started as a simple roadside rescue evolved into a remarkable story of love and devotion.

At the shelter, Mango thrived, caring not only for her own pups but also extending her maternal instincts to other dogs in need.

Tragically, one of her puppies did not survive, leaving her with just one, later named Tequila.

Undeterred, Mango’s nurturing nature shone even brighter as she adopted three orphaned puppies, welcoming them into her care with warmth and dedication.

“Along with having an amazing temperament with people, kids, and other dogs, she even adopted 3 orphaned puppies into her litter,” the rescue added.

Mango devoted herself to raising the entire litter, providing constant care and affection. Her resilience and loving spirit made her a top candidate for adoption.

“Mango is available for adoption anytime, she’s been an amazing mama but it’s time for her to get her own happy ending and attention,” Boonie Babies concluded.

Several families expressed interest, and ultimately, Mango and Tequila were welcomed into the home of two sisters who now fill their days with walks, playtime, and endless love.

After enduring so much, Mango’s life has finally turned toward peace, safety, and happiness, a testament to her enduring heart and the dedication of those who rescued her.
