California Shelter Workers Discovered A Terrified Puppy Curled Up In Her Kennel Corner

Love is all our pups really need to feel joy. As their parents, we love seeing their wagging tails and bright smiles every single day.

Our biggest goal is always to give our furry companions the love they deserve and make them the happiest dogs alive.

Sadly, some cruel owners abandon their loyal pets and walk away from them during the moments when they need love the most.

Comfort was just three months old when her family heartlessly threw her away from the only home she had ever known.

A Good Samaritan who saw the heartbreaking scene brought the sweet puppy to a shelter in Los Angeles, California.

Feeling completely let down by the people she trusted most, the little pup began trembling in fear in the corner of her kennel.

The Hardest Days Of Her Life

When the puppy, later given the name Comfort, was taken in by the shelter, she was underweight, dehydrated, and refused to eat. She was also covered in fleas.

She kept shaking with fear and crouching in her kennel. She avoided making eye contact with the staff and wouldn’t let anyone touch her.

The shelter team and volunteers were heartbroken to see her so afraid.

Ashely Pittman, who volunteers both at the Los Angeles shelter and with A Purposeful Rescue wanted to help Comfort find a foster home. She shared a video of the scared little pup on her Instagram account

That video was quickly reposted on TikTok, where it went viral.

One of the viewers happened to be a foster who immediately reached out to Pittman and A Purposeful Rescue. She offered to foster Comfort right away and headed to the shelter to pick her up.

The rescue placed Comfort into their foster program, and her foster mom brought her home. She was determined to help the frightened puppy work through her fears so she could become the happy dog she was always meant to be.

A Foster Home Filled With Love

Life in the shelter had made Comfort extremely anxious. Her foster mom knew the pup just needed some quiet time to decompress.

During her first few days in the new home, Comfort whimpered often and hid beneath a bed.

Her foster mom cared for her with patience and gave her all the affection she needed.

Soon, Comfort began to relax, and she started to feel so much better. Her once fearful eyes now glimmered with hope. Her foster mom is eager to see her true personality begin to shine.

After Comfort is fully comfortable and settled into her foster home, she will be ready to search for her forever family.

We hope that this adorable pup soon finds the loving home and parents she truly deserves. Without a doubt, they will treasure her and love her endlessly.
