Bettina is the kind of puppy who leaves you in awe!
Sweet and desperately looking for a friend, all this girl ever needed was a little push.
She was a true example of years-long neglect. Matted, shaggy, and covered with ticks and fleas, it looks like Bettina had never really gotten the chance to exhibit her full potential – until now!
A giant-hearted rescuer who was about to go on another rescue mission spotted this shaggy girl roaming the streets of California, and she immediately decided to postpone her initial plans a little – for a good cause!
Bettina In Desperate Need Of Grooming
Mary, a member of Suzete Hall’s amazing rescue team, Logan’s Legacy, from Irvine, California, was inclined to change Bettina’s life for the better! This is not the first time Hall’s team had a plan changed within seconds, but a noble goal and a selfless deed is definitely worth it!
When she finally crossed paths with Bettina, she realized that this tiny girl had an owner who didn’t want her, and was more than willing to give up the dog to Mary.
The rescuer didn’t think twice, and she accepted Bettina in a heartbeat!
One Haircut Is All It Took
It was more than clear that this doggo girl wasn’t receiving as much attention and care as she needed. Her fur was very caked with dirt and her hair was tangled, so Hall and her team wasted no time!
They took her to Camino Pet Hospital for an initial checkup, after which they had one and only one agenda in mind – to give Bettina the most pawesome makeover possible!
The CPHs amazing team spared no time and energy in the process – but after they removed her very last knot, they realized that it was worth it! Bettina’s new look was priceless and she practically looked like a brand-new dog!
“Poor baby was so smelly and so matted… so many fleas. But today that is all behind her. She got a makeover and a new beginning. She will never be unwanted again,” Hall wrote on her Facebook.
A Brand-New Girl
No one knew how long this adorable girl had to carry around her extra fur weight, but all that didn’t matter anymore! The only important thing now was that Bettina felt relieved and looked nothing like her old self.
No more knots, ticks, or fleas on her fur – and definitely no more of that old “street dog look”.
It turns out that all it took for her to feel so much better after all this time was one haircut! And, now – she looks like a million-dollar girl, with all those years of neglect shaved away!
And, yes – she is definitely as affectionate and sweet as she looks! With her caregivers around, Bettina’s adorable smile is just getting bigger and more beautiful every day.
At this very moment, she’s enjoying her foster home and building towards her full “family-dog potential,” and with her charming nature and one-of-a-kind personality – we’re absolutely pawsitive that her forever home is just around the corner!
