Behind every successful rescue story is a kind-hearted person doing their best to help an animal in need.
Suzette Hall, a long-time rescuer from Southern California, is certainly that person!
Recently, Hall and the group of her fellow volunteers spotted a mysterious ball of fur stranded in a deep canal, and they immediately decided to act. When they finally realized the ball was moving, they came to a shocking conclusion: it was a pup in need!
Miraculously Found
Hall, the founder of the organization called Logan’s Legacy, in Irvine, California, has witnessed many heartbreaking scenes over the years, but this one definitely broke her heart.
Right at the bottom of a deep canal lay a dog completely motionless. Although it wasn’t clear how he ended up there in the first place, Hall noticed the horrible state he was in. Luckily, he was spotted just in time.
“It was a miracle that he was even noticed way down deep in a canal,” Suzette stated via her social media.
He had been stranded there for who knows how long just trying to survive in the water and algae, with the walls so slippery that escape seemed impossible.
Hall and three of her friends, Yvonne, Becky, and Lilly, brought a ladder and slowly climbed down. They set a humane trap filled with delicious treats and placed it near the dog. Two hours later, the dog, named Jeremiah, was safe!
“We believed and didn’t give up, and 2 hours later he was safe in my trap. A little tiny shivering miracle, I literally can’t stop crying,” Hall added.
Seeing the dog finally safe and sound in the passenger seat was truly rewarding. Hall couldn’t have been more thankful for the opportunity to help this little one start all over again. And now, thanks to her and her kind team, Jeremiah will get a brand-new chance at life!
Look At That Smile
In another post, Hall put a big smile on the faces of everyone following Jeremiah’s situation. After all the hardships and uncertainties, this teeny-tiny boi was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Luckily, he had no major issues!
Jeremiah was successfully neutered, had his dental work done, and is now on the way to a new chapter. But, what’s even more rewarding is that he literally can’t stop smiling!
“I had the pleasure of transporting him to his new beginnings and look at that smile. He got neutered, dental and everything else he needed. And he felt so much better,” says Hall.
Jeremiah can’t wait to begin his new adventure! When the time is right, he will definitely make a great companion to a suitable family, learning what love is all about! Until then, this little guy will simply appreciate the fact that he’s rescued and surrounded by the best caregivers!
