A mama dog, later named Adriana, is a true example of endless love for her puppies.
She gave birth to her seven furbabies in an abandoned house filled with piles of trash. Adriana nursed them and cared for them with the little that she had.
She didn’t want her kids to grow up in such living conditions without loving humans by their side. The mama dog dreamed of a better future for them.
Little did she know that her greatest dream would soon come true.
Heroes Rescue Adriana And Her Puppies
When rescuers at Gateway Pet Guardians, a shelter located in East Saint Louis, Illinois, heard barking coming from the abandoned house, they rushed to check what was going on.
Once they entered the house and saw puppies on the piles of garbage, they were shocked.
The furbabies were excited to meet humans and they began jumping around with their tails wagging.
Since the mama dog was frightened, she hid from the rescuers.
Shortly afterward, they found her, cowering in the corner of the room. Her eyes were filled with anxiety.
The rescuers knew that she was terribly worried for her puppies who were her whole world.
When the rescue team took the puppies in their arms, they barked as loud as they could.
The good people understood that they were frightened. After all, it was their first time interacting with humans.
It didn’t take long for the puppies to relax. Their rescuers cuddled them and made them feel safe. The furbabies melted with love.
One of the Illinois rescuers gained Adriana’s trust and gently looped a slip lead over her neck. The doggo let the rescuer stroke her and she rested her head on her lap.
Happiness And Love
Her hero brought her outside and reunited her with her puppies. The moment she left the abandoned house, Adriana transformed.
“Once she was out of the house, Adriana was so friendly,” Alisha told The Dodo.
Her eyes were hopeful and she was instantly in a better mood. The team cuddled her and gave her a lot of love.
They drove Adriana and her puppies to their facility, and gave them the medical care they needed.
Since they searched for Adriana’s owner and couldn’t find them, they found loving homes for the mama dog and her babies.
From a scared canine family who was struggling in the abandoned house filled with trash, they turned into happy pups who enjoy their lives to the fullest.
