Caring for a dog is a lifelong responsibility, and sadly, not everyone understands the challenges that come with it.

That was exactly the case when rescuers were called about a mother dog and her puppies living beside a trailer in California. What they found revealed a story more complex than they expected.

When rescuers Suzette Hall and Arturo Flores heard about the situation, they immediately set out to help.
