Rescuers Save A Scared Pregnant Dog And Help Her Realize That She Is Finally Safe

If there is one thing about rescuing dogs that is both really tough and really amazing, it’s letting them go.

On one hand, they eventually get to go into a wonderful home with a good family, but on the other, you no longer get to see them.

Bonding with these rescue pups is necessary and great, but you will always miss seeing their face when they find their forever home.

In this story, we will talk about a similar example where a woman from Missouri fostered a stray dog who was pregnant and desperately needed her help.

When Valentine first met her foster parent, Brie, it was not a very pleasant encounter. She was pregnant and so scared that she did not even look at her.

Brie told The Dodo: “When she first came here, she was very skittish. You could just tell how traumatized she was and it was so heartbreaking.

We don’t really know what she had to go through to be so fearful of any human contact, but I don’t even want to imagine.

It’s absolutely horrible what some people do to stray animals and it’s something that needs to be dealt with.

After some time in Brie’s home, Valentine started to change. Her usual scared attitude has shifted slowly and she has come out of her shell a little bit.

Day by day, she was making remarkable progress, and Brie was just so proud of her. She even started wagging her tail, which you know is always a good sign.

Valentine trusted her, and the two of them got along great. It must have felt amazing for her to find somebody who treats her right.

However, one step she wasn’t sure if she could make just yet was to try and go for a little walk outside.

After three weeks in Brie’s home, she managed to make that step and enjoyed being in the yard. She even went for a little run around it, and it was adorable.

However, even though Valentine loves playing around with Brie, their naptime is one of her favorite activities.

A few days went by and Brie noticed something off about Valentine; however, it quickly dawned on her. She was about to give birth.

Thankfully, everything went smoothly, and Valentine now has six healthy little babies, and they are just so sweet.

Since that very moment, her instincts kicked in and she is just an amazing mother. She will watch over the puppies every waking minute.

The puppies were growing up fast, and they were starting to change. Brie said: “They have their personalities from the get-go.

They were now over eight weeks old, and it was soon time for them to find their own family and go to a new home.

Even though it’s going to be tough on Brie to let them go, she knows it’s the best thing ever for them.

She has managed to find somebody really special for each and every one of them, and it’s just amazing to see them enjoy their life with someone special.

As for Valentine, Brie said: “Originally, I brought in Valentine as a foster, but I have decided to keep her. So I’m adopting her officially tomorrow.

She also opened up her own rescue, called Valentine’s Second Chance Animal Rescue. It is located in Missouri and Brie did it to honor Valentine.

It’s amazing to see how Valentine went from being a frightened pittie to a proud mom who now loves spending time with her family and just enjoying her life. She is a really special dog.
