Norman and Francis shivered from the cold after being cruelly abandoned in a canal in Louisiana, a spot where animals often cannot escape.
The two Pit Bulls felt trapped and powerless, hoping someone would notice and come to help them.
Luckily, a passerby spotted the dogs and called Zeus’ Rescues.
When the rescue team received the call, they immediately dropped everything and rushed to the scene.
They knew that with heavy rain on the way and the canal rising, the Pit Bulls had very little time left.
A Timely Rescue Mission

When the team arrived, they were heartbroken to see two sweet Pit Bulls stranded in the water.
They spoke softly to the dogs, attempting to calm them.
At first, Francis and Norman barked out of fear, unsure whether the humans were trustworthy.
Once the rescuers entered the canal, the pups realized help had arrived. Their fearful barks turned into excited ones.
Tails wagged and eyes brightened with hope. To encourage them to cross, the team offered tasty treats.

Francis took the first steps forward, and a rescuer handfed her.
At that moment, she decided to trust the humans. The brave pup crossed the canal first, and the team quickly secured her. She was safe.

Seeing his friend rescued, Norman jumped across the deepest part of the canal, and the rescuers scooped him up.
They breathed a sigh of relief knowing both dogs were safe.
The pups were loaded into the rescue van and transported to Zeus’ Rescues in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Feeling Safe And Loved

At the rescue, Francis and Norman were pampered and showered with love as they recovered from their traumatic experience.
The dogs adored people and were extremely affectionate.
The more time the rescuers spent with them, the more they fell in love with the pair.
“They love to be in the sunshine and will just lay out like a cat in the sun… They’re perfect angels,” Michelle, one of their rescuers, told The Dodo.
The Pit Bulls began looking for their forever homes.

Although they loved each other, they were not considered a bonded pair because they could thrive independently, so they were listed for adoption separately.
Norman was adopted first, while Francis is still waiting for her happy ending.
Hopefully, she will soon find wonderful humans who will give her the loving home she deserves.
