Each day holds the possibility of helping an animal in need, even though no one ever knows exactly when or where that moment will arise.
Seasoned rescuers understand this reality deeply. Years of commitment and collaboration have taught them to respond without delay, so when Kris, a rescuer in California, noticed a small puppy tied to a residential trailer, she acted immediately.
Within a matter of hours, a group of volunteers gathered, united by the goal of giving the frightened little dog the care and support he urgently needed.
A Frightened Pup Waiting For Rescue

Kris Kelly, the founder of The Kris Kelly Foundation was heartbroken to learn that the little dog had been left tied up for several days.
Seeking immediate assistance, she contacted Suzette Hall of Logan’s Legacy, who happened to be nearby working on another mission with her colleague, Arturo.
Although Hall had been focused on saving chickens that day, she did not pause. She and Arturo quickly redirected their efforts to reach the trailer.
When they arrived, however, the puppy was nowhere in sight.

Refusing to give up, they searched the surrounding area for any sign of him.
Eventually, they knocked on the trailer door. A man answered, claiming the puppy as his, but when asked about giving him up, he readily agreed.
“He wasn’t outside so we decided to knock on the trailer. We were determined to get him. The owner didn’t even hesitate, he said ‘Do you want him,’ and within minutes he was safe in our hands. I couldn’t believe how small he actually was,” Hall wrote in the post.

The puppy, later named Remi, trembled with fear until Hall lifted him into her arms. Immediately, he appeared to relax, sensing he was finally protected and cared for.
A New Beginning For Remi

Hall felt immense relief knowing Remi’s ordeal had ended. Once secured in her car, he seemed ready to embrace a fresh start.
At the veterinary clinic, he was diagnosed with a mild case of mange, requiring a few days of treatment.
Fortunately, Hall had already arranged a safe place for him to recover. The Forgotten Dog Foundation welcomed Remi into a foster home where he could heal fully and enjoy comfort and attention.
“He is the sweetest. I am so thankful to The Forgotten Dog for taking him into your loving paws. And thank you so much, Kris. This baby is furever safe and gets everything he needs,” Hall concluded.

No longer chained to a trailer, experiences affection, play, and the security he had never known.
When the perfect family arrives, he will be ready to begin his forever journey. Until that moment, he is simply savoring the safety, love, and freedom he has finally earned.
