Texas Rescuers Realized A Dog Broke Out Of Her Kennel Only To Be Shocked By Camera Footage

Whoever said that dogs can’t be creative hasn’t seen them when they are laser focused on a single task and trying to accomplish it.

In that moment, so many opportunities suddenly present themselves and you can be sure that whatever happens next is going to be hilarious.

I have seen my dog in the same situation. It’s just funny how all dogs behave like this when they want something.

However, what the dog in this story did is even more shocking and it’s a great example of how creative dogs can be when they want to be.

How Did She Get Out

It was an ordinary day for this staff member from Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter who went into the kennel room only to find one dog was just casually taking a stroll.

The rescuer was baffled by this discovery because nobody knows how this dog was even able to get out of her kennel.

The kennel doors were really high and nobody opened the door for her. There was no way that a dog could have been able to climb that height. Right?

Well, the rescuers might want to reconsider that. They went to check the footage from the camera, and they were in complete shock at what they saw.

The pup, named Judy, climbed the 6-foot door and hopped onto the ground. What makes this even more impressive is how she was able to balance her footing on the metal bars in order to make this escape.

It all became clear when the rescuers realized that this was not her first escape attempt. She had a few before… it’s just that this one was successful.

At one point, she was just playing in the yard with other dogs, and then she tried to escape as well.

Good News For Judy

April Peiffer, who works there, told The Dodo: “She did her very best to get out of there, too. So we know that she just is all about going on her own walkabouts.

That’s why they decided to nickname her the “jailbreak queen,” and I mean, it’s pretty fitting for a dog like her.

Because of her escape attempt, the rescuers had to move her to another kennel that had the top covered, so she couldn’t get out.

It’s important to note that they don’t plan on keeping her there long. When Judy was first saved by the Texas rescuers, they realized that she had heartworm.

So naturally, they did their best to try and find a home for her. While the rescuers certainly hoped that Judy would find a home, they were not expecting it to happen so soon.

They were able to find a forever home pretty quickly, and she is now living her best life with a family in Texas. I just hope her new parents were made aware of her intelligence and creativity in case she tries to escape again.
