Two small dogs found themselves on the streets after their owners let them down and dumped them without thinking twice. They roamed from house to house and curled up on empty porches, hoping someone would open a door for them and let them in.
With every passing day, they became sadder and more confused. Having endured hunger and cold, they became exhausted.
The little boy and girl stayed close to each other as they waited for help. They were grateful to have one another during the most difficult period of their lives.
Left Behind With Only Each Other

Neighbors had noticed the dogs curled up on porches, and felt heartbroken.
The pups refused to believe they had been abandoned.
“These two little souls — a boy and a girl — had been laying on porches, curled in front of random houses, trying to believe it wasn’t true. Trying to believe the neighbors were wrong. But the neighbors had confirmed the unthinkable… they had been dumped. Left behind. Forgotten,“ Suzette Hall shared in a Facebook post.

The dogs had survived on their own for days. They felt betrayed as they shivered from the cold, but refused to give up.
Neighbors called Suzette Hall, the founder of Logan’s Legacy 29, and urged her to help the dogs.
Hall rushed to the location along with her volunteers, determined to bring them to safety as soon as possible.
They set a humane trap, and waited.

The little boy was so desperate for help that he walked straight into the trap. His sister followed soon after, guided gently by the X-pen.
The pups were scared, but they felt relieved because humans came to their aid. They sensed that the worst part was behind them, and they began feeling safe.
Rescuers reassured them that everything would be alright. The pups nuzzled into them, looking for affection.
Rescue And Recovery

The dogs were in bad shape.
“Both of them were so matted, so scraggly, so tired. The little girl was even limping — not from injury, but from pure exhaustion. Exhaustion from waiting. From hoping. From being heartbroken,” Hall added.
Hall took them to the vet for a full examination.

The rescue team gave them food and time to rest. The dogs slowly relaxed, their eyes softening as they realized they no longer had to fight for survival.
She will make sure the pups are well taken care of. They don’t need to worry about being abandoned and betrayed again.
As soon as they heal and make a complete recovery, they will start searching for their place under the sun. I’m sure they will find forever humans who cherish them and love them to the moon and back.
