That’s exactly what happened when rescue workers were alerted about a mama dog and her puppies staying next to a trailer in California. When they arrived, what they discovered told a far more layered story than they had anticipated.
A Chance For Rescue
When rescuers Suzette Hall and Arturo Flores heard about the situation, they immediately set out to help.
Upon arrival, they discovered the dog family staying near a trailer with its owner, who sadly could not meet their needs. It wasn’t entirely clear how the dogs had ended up there, but one thing was certain, they needed help as soon as possible.
Hall and Flores focused on getting the mother and her puppies to safety before their condition worsened.
When the rescuers spoke with the trailer owner, he agreed to let them take the dogs to a shelter.
However, the process proved more difficult than expected. The puppies were easy to gather, but their protective mother grew anxious and defensive, unwilling to let strangers near her babies.
