Missouri Rescue Poodle Won’t Stop Hugging Her New Family Until They Hug Back

Missouri Rescue Poodle Won’t Stop Hugging Her New Family Until They Hug Back

Rescued from the harsh reality of life as a commercial breeding dog, one remarkable Poodle finally received the chance she had always deserved.

And she could not have been more appreciative.

Dogs have an extraordinary way of showing gratitude. Even after years of mistreatment, they hold on to love and return it with unwavering devotion.

Clara the Poodle discovered her own heartfelt method of expressing thanks. She gives hugs. Not light nudges or brief cuddles, but full embraces, standing upright and holding on until someone hugs her in return.

Even after years of suffering, Clara’s spirit remained bright. Her eyes still carried hope, and beneath her fear lived a loving soul ready to trust again.

When Havaheart Rescue stepped in to help her, Clara was frightened and unsure. She did not know what the future held or whether these new people meant her harm.

Life inside a puppy mill had stripped her of safety and compassion.

Everything began to change when Julie, her foster mom, brought her home. Clara slowly realized she no longer needed to be afraid.

After spending her entire life as a breeding dog, Clara finally experienced what it meant to be treated with real kindness.

Her first bath washed away years of neglect, and shaving her matted coat revealed the beginnings of her transformation.

With each passing day, Clara grew more confident. She turned into an affectionate companion whose loving nature amazed everyone around her.

“I think when she realized she was safe, and we weren’t going to hurt her, very quickly we discovered how affectionate she was with giving hugs,” Julie told The Dodo.

Clara’s hugs became her signature greeting. She would stand up, wrap her paws around someone, and stay there until the affection was returned. It was her way of showing how deeply she valued her rescue.

A New Life Filled With Love

It did not take long for Clara to find someone who adored her. Within a short time, Julie found a wonderful forever home that matched her perfectly.

Clara was renamed Tallulah, and her new mom, Melissa, fell in love with her right away.

“She looks at you and just shows love. She loves to be hugged back. The way she has impacted our family is just adding pure love,” Melissa said in a video.

Tallulah greets her family with enthusiastic hugs, covering them with affection and asking for the same warmth in return.

And she will not let go until she gets that hug.

For Tallulah, each embrace represents all the moments she missed throughout her years in the puppy mill.

Dogs raised in those conditions often suffer silently. They are surrounded by people yet denied even the most basic forms of love.

From Neglect To A Life Filled With Care

Tallulah was once only a statistic in a troubling reality.

Dogster reports that tens of thousands of puppy mills still operate across the United States, and Missouri ranks among the highest. Countless dogs like Tallulah endure these conditions for years.

She existed only as a source of litters, her well-being ignored. Rescue changed everything.

If Melissa had not adopted her, Tallulah might still be waiting for someone to show her tenderness for the very first time.

Now she is thriving in a home where she is cherished every day. Melissa even adopted another Havaheart Rescue dog, giving Tallulah a companion who shares her new life of comfort and security.

Her days are now filled with joy, play, and endless hugs.

For a dog who once knew only hardship, life has finally become everything she longed for.

We can only hope Tallulah receives so many hugs that she never feels the need to hold on quite so tightly again.
