Sweet Pittie Who Doesn’t Like Other Dogs Meets A New Feline Friend Who Changes His Life

Sweet Pittie Who Doesn’t Like Other Dogs Meets A New Feline Friend Who Changes His Life

How many times have you heard that dogs and cats just do not get along?

Sometimes, I feel that this is a story as old as time simply because of all the canine-feline stereotypes that have been buzzing around for years now!

While this may be true in some cases, Opie and Yeti would definitely disagree!

This fabulous duo has been going strong since the moment they met each other, and they’re not planning on stopping anytime soon!

He’s A Lovebug Since Day One

Opie has always been one of a kind!

But, to be fair, his past wasn’t that glamorous. Before he met his mom, Diana, and embarked on a brand-new adventure in New England, Opie struggled to find his home.

All of his littermates got adopted before him, and he was left alone. And, that’s when Diana stepped in!

Since the moment they met, his new mom and he have been inseparable.

“Opie was the cutest dog since day one. And his personality didn’t hide away for long. He was so excited to go places and meet people,” Diana told Cuddle Buddies.

Even though he’s not exactly the most energetic dog, he knows how to spice things up in the backyard! But, most of all, Opie is a low-key cuddle bug who just loves to snuggle and get his back scratched.

He was never that much interested in playing with his other doggo siblings. He would always stay in the corner and watch them go ‘full doggo’ without showing enthusiasm to hop in.

Then – enter Yeti!

Opie And Yeti Break Stereotypes Without Even Trying

Diana knew perfectly well that her rescue Pittie wasn’t an aggressive dog. Yet little did she expect that he would embrace his feline friends in such a short time!

In particular, he liked the newest addition to the family – Yeti!

When he first saw Yeti, Opie was quite confused. He couldn’t understand why this tiny little furball was following him around and licking him on the face. All he knew was that it felt right!

Yeti adapted to the pack so well that he immediately became an integral part of it.

But, most of all – he loved Opie.

And, his giant brother reciprocated!

“He chose his brother right away. I wasn’t sure how they would get along, there’s a big size difference. But since the moment they met, he had been the gentlest giant,” says Diana.

It didn’t take long for these two to become the best friends in the world. For Opie, Yeti was this one part of the puzzle missing all along, and now that he’s there, he couldn’t be happier.

His New England home now feels much more comfy with Yeti. And, those outdoor activities? They’re much more interesting now!

Opie and Yeti’s relationship is a testament to true friendship, and the fact that they are now inseparable only proves that dogs and cats can indeed get along!

“They break stereotypes without even trying. They just are the best of friends,” their mom says.
