Working from home means that lives and pets often overlap. Your dog might drag a toy into your space or demand attention when you’re on a call. But this rescue dog took things one step further.
Indiana owners noticed he wasn’t just interrupting; they realized he had an agenda. While they typed and called and scheduled, he positioned himself in a spot and refused to budge, like he was keeping one eye on the job.
They didn’t know the reason at first, but his commitment made them smile and scratch their heads in equal measure.
When his antics were captured on camera and shared, the message was clear: hard work comes in all shapes and tails.
The Camera Caught Everything

Since Elena Yarsh first took in her foster dog, Chimney, everything has changed for her, but not in the way she expected.
She loved her foster pup so much that she decided to adopt him, and that’s when things really changed. Chimney is a really sweet dog, but he is also a bit of a couch potato.
Resting and sleeping are his two favorite hobbies. One day, Elena went to work, but she placed a pet cam in the house to check up on her beloved pup.
What she discovered later surprised her. Chimney was just snoozing on the couch. His legs were sprawled out as he lay on his back. He was having the best nap of his life.

Sometimes, he would even switch positions on the couch, or he would grab a chew toy, but for the most part, he just spent his time sleeping.
This made Elena laugh. His expressions were really funny, and she was glad to see how well he was adapting to life at home. When she first took him in, he had serious separation anxiety.
That seemed to have faded away as Elena took in more foster dogs. Now, it’s like he’s a completely changed dog.
Internet’s Responses To Chimney

Elena couldn’t resist the urge. The Indiana owner posted the video of Chimney sleeping on the couch on her TikTok channel, and it exploded in popularity.
One person commented: “I’ve been home on maternity leave and I swear my dogs look at me like I’m disturbing their daytime slumber.”
When dogs get really cozy in their bed, they really don’t like anyone to disturb their peace. I mean, who would want that?
Another person said: “I’ve been home on maternity leave and I swear my dogs look at me like I’m disturbing their daytime slumber.”

Yeah, something about that really makes me jealous. I think it’s high time our beloved furry companions started paying some taxes. If I have to go through it, they have to as well.
Lastly, somebody commented: “Can you put him in Doggy Daycare, or something while you’re gone all day? I mean he’s sleeping out of boredom there’s nothing else for him to do?”
Well, Chimney does have friends in the home. There are other foster pups there. It’s just that he prefers being on his own and napping.
If this story can show us anything, it’s that some dogs are really simple with their demands for a comfortable life. Give them food, affection and a cozy bed, and they are all set. That’s certainly true in Chimney’s case.
