When reading through many of the rescue stories, I thought I had seen it all. I assumed that I knew how much stray dogs go through and how difficult it really is.
Well, I was wrong. The situation can be much worse than anything we see on the internet. So many pups endure severe abuse from other people.
What makes it depressing is that they try to keep going despite enduring so much, but so many people ignore them even when they are desperate for help.
Luckily for this puppy, a kind Texas woman spotted a severely injured pup who didn’t have much time left, so she immediately sprang into action.
It Was A Traumatic Experience
It was a regular morning for this woman from Texas who had just gotten up and decided to take a walk outside. Out of nowhere, she noticed something odd.
There was a seriously injured puppy lying on a black trash bag near her driveway. She moved closer to get a better look at him and what she saw horrified her.
The pup had a deep leg wound and there was some dirty gauze wrapped around it. The kind woman quickly called Sasha Aghili from Jack Jack’s Pack Street Dog Rescue.
Aghili was at least four hours away from this dog, but she knew that there was no time to waste, so she got into her car and rushed to help.
The pup was in critical condition, so Aghili moved her into her car seat. The woman noticed that the pup was completely motionless.
She didn’t make any noise or growl at her rescuers. That’s how serious the situation was. Her gums were white and it concerned the rescuer that the pup might not make it.
The Veterinarians Saved Her Life
After she was transferred to the ER in Texas, the veterinarians immediately got to work and did their best to stabilize the puppy’s condition.
She needed a blood transfusion and IV antibiotics. The medical team was performing a miracle and it looked like the pup’s dire situation was turning around.
However, there was still one big problem. The dog, now named Miracle, suffered a serious injury to her leg and it needed to be amputated.
They needed to wait before she was stable before they operated on her. When twenty four hours had passed, she underwent surgery and it went well.
While this sounded absolutely horrible, it was the only way for Miracle to continue living. After going through so much so early on in her life, a disability like this might only make things worse.
However, what happened next was truly heartwarming. Just a few hours after the surgery, she was walking around the clinic with a tail wag and a smile on her face.
Miracle Has Turned Her Life Around
Everyone was in complete awe at what they saw. Miracle was a really strong puppy who just wanted to pull through and live her life.
The veterinarians and her rescuer fell in love with her. One nurse was so mesmerized by Miracle that she decided to foster her.
This adorable little puppy has adapted so well to her new life, even though she is now a three-legged pup.
In fact, she was doing so well that her foster mom just decided to sign the adoption papers because she didn’t want to give her up.
Miracle has now completely embraced her new life and is thriving with the most amazing person she has ever met in her life. That was all due to the amazing work of all the veterinarians and Aghili, who tried their hardest to save her.
