A Road Trip Brings An Unexpected Scare
On one of their earliest road trips through Colorado, Meghan and Steve set off with excitement. The journey began smoothly, but before long, something felt off.
Steve, who usually sat upright and alert, was lying completely still on the car mat. Hours passed, and he hadn’t moved.
Meghan’s worry grew until she realized something was wrong.
“On this day 4 years ago, Steve made his very first core memory,” Meghan wrote in the video.
At the time, Steve was so small that his regular harness didn’t fit. Meghan improvised, using a snug life jacket secured with strong Velcro straps.
“I had to use this life jacket for Steve because he was too small to fit in his harness, and it’s like this really strong Velcro. As I was driving back to Colorado, he was on the floor of the car and didn’t move for hours,” she said in the video.
When Meghan leaned closer to investigate, she uncovered the truth: Steve had accidentally Velcroed himself to the car floor.
The discovery was hilarious, and Meghan captured it on video. Once posted online, the clip quickly went viral, turning Steve into a TikTok sensation.
