One of the reasons why we sometimes find dog’s mannerisms funny is because they are so close to imitating humans. I know, it sounds ridiculous.
It’s one of the many reasons why we love having them around. They are always full of surprises and it’s a nonstop adventure with them.
I know my dog would do some things that always made me laugh and they are precious memories that I will never forget.
For these daycare workers from Oregon, a surprise came in the form of this yellow Lab who was on a big adventure for a full day and just wanted some rest.
Butters Is Sleepy
When the daycare workers from Dog’s Hideaway in Oregon let all of the dogs out to play, it was a fun time for them. They spent most of their time just running around and enjoying themselves.
However, after a long adventure, they got tired, but Butters was particularly exhausted. Even though he is usually the most energetic pup, this adventure made him sleepy.
Because he didn’t want to miss any of the fun, Butters stuck around his friends and spent all of his strength in order to stay awake.
However, his eyes were saying otherwise. It looked like he was going to fall asleep while standing, but he couldn’t miss out on any action.
This is a good sign for any pup. If he was tired, then it meant that he had a great time with his friends and it’s something that the pup will likely want to do every day.
One of the workers recorded this funny moment and they were able to catch Butters almost falling asleep on camera.
Instagram Reactions
After recording the short clip, the daycare workers from Oregon decided to post it on their Instagram and the video received a lot of attention.
Even though some people shared concerns about the dog, a lot of the comments were really positive, so let’s go through some of them.
One person commented: “Labradors! Don’t care about rain. Waterproof coats. Ours would rather sit in the rain in the garden than be inside.”
It is pretty surprising as well because he is so tired. You would think that he would want to maybe rest and relax somewhere, but he just wants to stay with his friends.
Another person said: “Poor boy, he had too much fun, now he’s standing sleeping.”
I never knew something like this could happen. I mean, I know my dog loved to have fun, but I can’t recall that he was ever this exhausted after playing around all day.
Lastly, somebody commented: “My dog goes to daycare and this is always a sign that she had an absolute blast. I’m concerned when I pick her up and she’s not exhausted like this.”
I have no doubt about this. After all, dogs are social animals and they love to run around and play with other dogs. It’s their favorite thing to do.
So, when they get this tired after a playdate, then you know that they have enjoyed their day. I have no doubt that Butters would play even more if he could.
But, this sweet pup needed some rest, and I am sure that he is already thinking about his next adventure. He is just a very playful pup.
