Recently, it was Bauer’s turn to have his first “see you later” at a Florida daycare, and his parents couldn’t wait to see how he would handle the experience.
When pickup time finally arrived, Bauer’s dad decided to record the reunion—without realizing just how quickly the sweet moment would capture the internet’s heart.
I Missed You So Much, Dad
One thing was certain: Bauer had truly missed his dad, even though they had only been apart for a single day.
Florida dog dad Corey Moriarty was eager to see his pup and hear how his first day had gone. He stood waiting at the door as Bauer came out with a handler, ready to greet him. What followed turned an ordinary pickup into something unforgettable.
The second Bauer saw Corey, he sprinted full-speed, tail wagging like crazy. He leapt into his dad’s arms, showering his face with nonstop kisses as if to say, “Where have you been all day?!”
Corey later shared the adorable video on his family’s TikTok page, and the The Moriarty Family Instagram account, and within hours, it went viral.
“The way he carries his leash like ‘I’m ready let’s go home!’ He had literally the best time and was the best boy,” the caption read.
Viewers couldn’t get enough of Bauer’s pure joy.
“I feel like he’s such a dad boy,” one person wrote.

And while Bauer clearly couldn’t wait to be reunited, the daycare staff confirmed that he had a wonderful first day. He made new friends, played happily, and charmed everyone he met.

Bauer’s daycare milestone is just one part of his busy, joy-filled life.
Emma and Corey adopted Bauer after already building a lively home with three large dogs: Huskies Blue and Titan, and a Golden Retriever named Maverick. The family also includes two cats, Zeus and Storm. With Bauer’s arrival, their household finally felt complete.
Though he may be the youngest, this spirited Golden Retriever has no shortage of personality.
He’s silly, playful, and full of energy, always keeping his parents entertained with his goofy antics.
Whether he’s wrestling with his dog siblings, curling up for snuggles, or dashing around the yard, Bauer is living his best life.
