It’s truly heartbreaking to hear that a dog was abandoned by their parents when they did not want him anymore. Just think about how this can affect them.
They don’t understand why their favorite human is not with them anymore, and that usually leads to confusion and depression.
Some dogs can recover from this if they find someone special, while for others, it takes a lot more to get over their abandonment.
This sweet pup was abandoned five times by his owners in Arizona and was really sad for a long time until one day when it all changed in a moment. He met someone wonderful and it transformed her.
Lulu’s Tragic Story

When Amandine first heard about Lulu, it was through Petfinder, and the pup had been staying in a shelter that normally accepts only Boston terriers, but they made an exception for her.
That’s when Amandine knew that the pup really needed help. She got in contact with the shelter and they told her that she had been rehomed five times.
This was just depressing to hear. It’s impossible to comprehend what this pup had gone through.
While she knew very little about this dog, she still wanted to give her a chance at a better life. She would learn pretty quickly that Lulu was a very stubborn dog.

When she adopted her, Amandine noticed that she was actually sick and needed medical help. Not only that, there’s also a good chance she had breathing problems simply because of her breed.
They also suffered from joint problems like hip dysplasia. After taking her in for the first time, Amandine noted that it was really not easy.
Lulu would get into fights with the other dogs in the family for the first few months, and it took her a long time to start getting along with everyone.
Lulu’s Slowly Adapting To Her New Life

This Arizona family started helping her by first treating her health problems. When that was underway, they tried to help her relax.
After all, if Lulu was going to get along with other puppies, she needed this. The family understood that she had likely undergone a serious trauma before, and they were really patient with her.
They took it slow and the change was starting to become really noticeable. At first, she would barely leave her kennel.

Now, she’s completely different and loves to run around the house and play. Even though it took her a while, she has changed so much.
The family is so happy that she was able to make this fast transformation especially after what she had gone through in the past.
If this story can show us anything, it’s that dogs are resilient and can recover from traumatic events, just like Lulu did. All they need is love, care, and a little patience.
