Jax and Jazz are adorable siblings who love each other deeply.
The two Blue Merle Catahoula mix dogs were inseparable. The brother and sister had a loving home and thought that life couldn’t get any better.
However, the dogs’ whole world was turned upside down when they least expected it.
Jax and Jazz’s owner, who was deployed to the U.S. Air Force, had to make a heartbreaking decision. They said goodbye to their pups and placed them in the care of the Humane Society of Broward County, a shelter in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Once the brother and sister found themselves behind the shelter walls, they missed their beloved owner and the happy life they once had.
Looking For A Second Shot At Happiness

Shortly after Jax and Jazz were admitted to the shelter, the staff realized that they had different personalities. Jazz was laid-back while Jax was bursting with energy.
The shelter staff was smitten with the lovely duo, and they started looking for a family who could adopt them together.
A week after they arrived at the shelter, a nice family decided to adopt them and give them the life they deserved.
Jax and Jazz were happy because they were given a second shot at happiness.
Unfortunately, Jazz’ happiness didn’t last long.
The adopters realized that they couldn’t keep both dogs, and they decided to surrender Jax to the shelter 24 hours after his adoption.
“Because Jax was the hyper one who was dominant in play with his sister, he was brought back to the shelter,” Humane Society Broward County wrote on Instagram.
Once Jax realized he was back behind the four kennel walls, he was confused. The pup was separated from his sister for the first time in his life.
Jax Finds His Perfect Fit

Fortunately, Jax was a resilient puppy, and he didn’t give in to sadness. He was hopeful that he would find his perfect match – someone who would understand him and accept him as he was.
The Florida shelter shared Jax’s story on their social media, hoping that the exposure would help him find his perfect home.
They highlighted that the pup needed a patient family who would work with him on his training and keep him busy.

“Jax is still growing and developing, so patience is everything! Jax would do best in a home with an experienced and attentive owner that will dedicate time to exercising and training this gorgeous dog,” the shelter added.
Fortunately, just hours after the shelter posted the dog’s story, a kind-hearted person stepped in and promised to give him a loving home.
The staff was overjoyed that Jax found his forever human. He is the only dog in his home, and his shelter friends believe that he will enjoy having all his owner’s love and attention for himself.
