Many people forget that animals have feelings, too, and subjecting them to traumatic events can have a lasting impact on their overall well-being. And, the pup you are about to meet knows a little too much about this.
After being thrown into a body of water because of her illness, the spirit of this sweet girl named Yara was absolutely broken.
Luckily, a team of incredible rescuers found her and were determined to get her back on her paws as soon as possible. So, after carefully getting her in the car, they swiftly took her to the vet.
At The Vet
The second she arrived at the clinic, the medical staff noticed that she was starving. Therefore, they gave Yara some yummy food which she ate up in a second.
After her yummy meal, she was given a head-to-tail medical checkup so that the vets could have a clear picture of what was wrong with her. Unfortunately, her test showed something absolutely heartbreaking.
Yara had a tumor!
Since it was located on her back legs, Yara had trouble walking, forcing her to stay in one place for most of the time.
Not wanting to waste a single moment, Yara’s vets immediately made her an appointment with an oncologist. After her appointment, the doctors announced that since the tumor was on the skin, there was a chance of it being removed.
Nevertheless, the surgery was extremely dangerous and risky. But, Yara’s resilience and determination showed everybody that she was ready for it.
A Difficult Journey
The surgery was a success and Yara was finally able to begin her recovery journey.
After resting for a couple of days, this brave girl was ready to begin her new life. She began by learning how to walk again. Even though she was doing an incredible job, Yara had moments of weakness.
She would get reminded of her traumatic past and immediately run and hide in a corner. Luckily, she was always surrounded by incredible people who showered her with love, reminding her why this recovery journey was so important.
As time passed, Yara was back on her paws and finally ready to start her new life.
Lucious fur covered her body and her adorable tail wag was able to light up any room she walked in. That is exactly why I am certain that she will find a loving forever home in no time.

Knowing that animals dedicate their entire lives to making the people around them happy and that, in return, some face pain, fear, or neglect is extremely heartbreaking. Not a single one of them deserves the suffering that is inflicted upon them by careless or cruel people.
We have a responsibility to do everything in our power to give animals the respect they deserve and create a world that shows them love and kindness. So please, if you see any form of animal abuse, report it to the authorities.
It’s the least we could do.
