Alone and scared, she was left near a road in Alabama, struggling to survive. Her suffering ended when a group of compassionate rescuers spotted her and rushed to help.
Arriving Just In Time
When the rescuers reached her, they were shocked at the state she was in. She looked ready to give birth at any moment.
They had to act quickly. The rescuers carefully lifted her into the car and drove her to the shelter. Once she was settled, they performed an X-ray to confirm her pregnancy.
After speaking to neighbors, they learned that she had been abandoned and had remained in the same spot for days.

Luckily, she was safe, and her rescuers ensured she would be comfortable before delivering her puppies.
The dog, now named Lotus, appeared deeply grateful and finally allowed herself to relax.
Eight Sweet Puppies
Soon after arriving at the shelter, Lotus gave birth to eight beautiful puppies. From the very first moment, she displayed a remarkable maternal instinct.
Lotus carefully cared for them, constantly watching over her babies with dedication. The little puppies spent much of their time napping by her side, gradually growing stronger and healthier each day.
As they began exploring their surroundings and playing, it was clear they were thriving in their new safe environment.
Lotus remained close at all times, ensuring their safety while they discovered the world.
The rescuers named all eight puppies: Chrysanthemum, Tansy, Portulaca, Lantana, Cosmos, Lupin, Yarrow, and Agapanthus.
Forever Homes
As the puppies grew and developed, the rescuers began searching for their forever homes in Alabama. All eight puppies were successfully adopted by loving families.
Finding a home for Lotus took a little longer, but the rescuers were determined to ensure she found someone special. After enduring so much and nurturing her babies, she deserved a safe and loving life.
Eventually, Lotus was also adopted. She now lives in her forever home, happy and cared for. While the rescuers felt bittersweet leaving them behind, they were filled with joy knowing the entire family was thriving.
