Moe-Moe was a wonderful dog who lived with his family in their Kansas home, believing he would be with them forever.
The gentle American Bulldog mix adored his little humans and loved playing with them.
Sadly, one day his world turned upside down. His family moved away without him, leaving him locked in a carrier on a curb next to garbage.
Heartbroken and confused, Moe-Moe lowered his head and peered through the bars of his carrier with a sorrowful expression.
All he had left was hope that someone would show kindness and lend a helping hand.
Abandoned And Hoping For Rescue
When the sanitation workers arrived to collect the trash, they were shocked to find Moe-Moe among the bags and broken furniture.
“Moe-Moe was literally put out with the trash,” Hoke County Animal Shelter wrote on Facebook.
The compassionate workers gave him water, called animal control, and stayed with Moe-Moe until help came.
They learned Moe-Moe’s family had permanently left him behind.
Animal control officers took Moe-Moe to safety.
Hoke County Animal Shelter in Raeford welcomed the dog and promised to give him a fresh start.
The staff quickly saw what a sweet dog he was.
“He’s such a sweetheart and I can’t imagine what he’s feeling right now,” the shelter added.
They comforted him and showed him love. Moe-Moe no longer felt alone, and his spirits lifted.
The North Carolina shelter shared his story and photos on Facebook, leaving followers heartbroken for Moe-Moe.
They announced the pup would soon begin searching for a forever home.
Moe-Moe Finds His Forever Family
The shelter’s moving post went viral, helping Moe-Moe find a permanent home.
A kind woman saw the story and fell in love with the pup instantly. She visited the shelter and completed the adoption process.
Before leaving, Moe-Moe said goodbye to his shelter friends, who were overjoyed for him.
He hopped into his new mom’s car, beaming with happiness, eager to start his new life.
Soon after moving in, Moe-Moe started enjoying his forever home.
“He’s already enjoying his big beautiful backyard and his new home,” the shelter shared in a Facebook update.
From a rejected pup discarded like trash on a North Carolina street, Moe-Moe blossomed into a joyful dog who feels deeply loved and cared for.
