When this sweet dog from New York finally got his chance at a forever home, the rescuers believed that he got a happy ending.
However, fate would have other plans, as this pup was surrendered shortly after and it broke his heart into pieces. Now he is struggling to find a new home.
His Rescuers Are Trying Their Best
When Rocky was first found by rescuers, they saw an innocent pup who had been living as a stray near a train station.
He was rescued by the police, and then eventually adopted. Everyone believed that his happy ending was settled, but that did not happen.
Rocky was surrendered to North Shore Animal League America in New York shortly after. It broke his heart.
His owners said that they just didn’t have the time needed to care for him properly, which is why he was surrendered.
In a way, I can understand their point of view. They wanted to give this pup the best life, but when they realized it was going to be difficult, they wanted him to start his life with a better family.
The rescuers are hoping to find a home for him. They want a family that has experience with dogs. Rocky is friendly to just about anyone, so making friends is not a problem.
He can be a bit scared of new environments, which is why he needs patience; so any new owner should be prepared for that.
