Pregnant Dog Was Almost Euthanized But Then The Most Miraculous Thing Happened

When thinking about dogs, there is just something so cruel about ignoring the ones who need your help.

Think for a second about how many times people come across an abandoned or stray dog on the road and just look the other way, thinking someone else will do something.

This mindset is a problem, as it’s pervasive and needs to go away. Anyone can help a poor, helpless dog – you just need to make the first step.

In this story, we will talk about a pregnant dog who was abandoned in a shelter during labor and desperately needed help.

When Bella was first dumped in a shelter in California during her labor, her rescuers tried to help her as much as they could.

Due to problems with the labor, she underwent an emergency C-section, which meant that something was wrong.

Bella gave birth to four puppies, but only two of them survived. Hearing this is just so heartbreaking.

The organization who rescued her, Roadogs, found a foster parent in California for this poor dog and her babies, where they went right away.

Immediately, her new foster mom, Dani Karlsson, made sure that both Bella and her babies were taken care of and that she constantly watched over them.

Even though Bella was really tired from labor, she wanted to be around the puppies as much as possible.

Karlsson told GeoBeats Animals: “I think Bella was very grateful to get some help with her puppies”.

Even though Karlsson also has other animals in the house, Bella was not too comfortable being around them at first.

However, as time went on, she realized that they meant no harm, and they started to get along really well.

Bella’s healing journey was going amazingly. She is a lot happier now that she knows she and her family are taken care of.

Karlsson said: “She did her first zoomie yesterday when I asked if she wanted to go for a walk. And she’s showing her personality more and more now”.

Currently, the puppies are too young for adoption, but Karlsson plans on finding a new family for them soon, when they are at least 10 weeks old.

As for the mom, she is also actively looking for someone great to give her a new life, but she just loves Bella so much that it’s going to be hard to separate from her.
