Minnesota Pittie Caught On Camera Leaping Kennel Wall To Reunite With Her Best Friend

Minnesota Pittie Caught On Camera Leaping Kennel Wall To Reunite With Her Best Friend

If there’s one thing we can all agree on about dogs, it’s their loyalty. A security camera at a Minneapolis animal shelter captured the sweetest moment between two Pittie girls who share an unbreakable bond.

Brenda wasn’t happy with the arrangement that separated her from her best friend, Linda. The two were placed in kennels side by side, but Brenda longed to be with her buddy just like before.

What happened next melted the hearts of everyone at the shelter.

The pair of Pittie girls were found wandering the streets of Minneapolis side by side. Minneapolis Animal Care & Control stepped in to rescue them and offer temporary safety.

Not realizing just how strong their bond was, staff placed them in kennels next to each other. But Brenda wasn’t having it.

She decided to leap a five-foot cement wall just to be close to her best friend again.

The next morning, shelter staff were stunned when they found Brenda inside Linda’s kennel. They had no idea how she got there.

After reviewing the security footage, they discovered Brenda had jumped the wall just so she could cuddle up next to her buddy.

Danielle Joerge, supervisor at MACC, explained how amazed everyone was to see Brenda’s act of love. She simply didn’t want to be separated from her street companion, not even for a moment.

The staff quickly moved the pair into a bigger kennel where they could be together all the time. Later, they shared the security video online, sparking thousands of emotional reactions from across the country.

Soon, the shelter was flooded with interest from people eager to adopt the girls. The only condition was that they had to go together. There was no way Brenda and Linda would ever be split apart again.

Just one day after releasing the video, Kathy Walker and her husband welcomed the two Pitties into their home after a thorough screening.

The Minneapolis couple had recently lost their beloved dog, Sampson, and weren’t planning to adopt again so soon. But when they saw Brenda and Linda’s video, they couldn’t resist visiting the shelter.

Within thirty minutes of meeting them, they filled out the adoption application and decided to bring them home.

“The day before, I didn’t want any other dog. We had lost our dog after thirteen and a half years… The fact that she had to take care of her buddy, I was just thinking to myself, and this is gonna sound corny, I really thought my Sampson has something to do with this.”

Now Brenda and Linda are thriving in their new home, never apart from each other, and showered with love from their new family. For the first time, they have the happiness and safety they always needed.

When asked if she worried Brenda might continue her fence-jumping habit, Kathy laughed.

“I don’t think she’s gonna be one of those escape artists because as long as she sees Linda, she’s all good!”

We wish Brenda and Linda many joyful years together, filled with love, comfort, and unforgettable memories.
