First Meeting Of Two Rescued Pitbulls In California Turns Into A Joyful Dance

Pitbulls often face unfair stereotypes, labeled as dangerous or aggressive. Yet again, this story proves that these dogs are every bit as capable of love, loyalty, and joy as any other breed.

Chase and Cadence, two Pitbulls who had endured severe neglect and abuse, were rescued by the dedicated team at Hope For Paws, a non-profit organization based in Los Angeles, California.

Despite their painful pasts and the prejudice surrounding their breed, both dogs showed incredible resilience and a deep capacity for affection.

Cadence and Chance were each saved by Hope For Paws at different times, but their paths crossed in the most heartwarming way.

Both dogs had come from heartbreaking situations. Still, when given a second chance at life, they responded not with fear or aggression, but with pure love and gratitude.

Chance arrived at the rescue just one day after Cadence, and the team decided to introduce them to each other. What happened next amazed everyone.

The moment they met, the two Pitbulls began wagging their tails and playfully dancing around the room. They couldn’t stop spinning, bouncing, and nuzzling one another.

It truly was love at first sniff.

For a little while, their traumatic pasts seemed to melt away, replaced by laughter, play, and the comfort of companionship.

Thanks to Hope For Paws, the world was able to witness this touching moment, one that would soon be seen by millions.

The now-viral clip of their “Pitbull dance” has been viewed more than 4.5 million times. People everywhere were moved by their joyful reunion and the undeniable reminder that compassion can heal even the deepest wounds.

From Fear To Friendship

Cadence’s story began nine years ago, when Hope For Paws received an urgent call about an injured dog in need of immediate help. Two kind strangers had seen her collapse in an alley and knew she wouldn’t survive without assistance.

Eldad, the founder of the rescue, rushed to the scene. He found Cadence weak, hurt, and scared, yet she accepted his help without hesitation.

Once she was brought to the veterinary clinic, the team learned she had been used as a bait dog, a tragic fate that left her body and spirit scarred.

Just one day after Cadence’s rescue, the organization received another call about a large stray Pitbull wandering the streets of South Central Los Angeles.

That dog was Chance. Though strong in appearance, he was deeply frightened and clearly defeated by his time on the streets. Volunteers worked patiently to earn his trust, and before long, Chance allowed them to bring him to safety.

When Cadence and Chance finally met, Chance immediately showed affection. He gently licked Cadence’s wounds, as if trying to comfort her.

Both dogs were eventually nursed back to full health and adopted into loving homes.

Sadly, Cadence eventually passed away after a battle with cancer. Her owner shared an emotional tribute on Facebook:

“She was the joy of my life, my best friend, and probably the only thing in the world that loved me. Thank you to everyone that has liked and shared and donated in her name over the years. My beautiful baby girl is free now. I’ll miss her forever.”

As for Chance, there hasn’t been an update in recent years, but it’s believed that he continues to live a happy life with his forever family.
Cadence and Chance’s story is a lasting reminder that even dogs who have endured cruelty can still choose love, and that a bit of kindness can change everything.
