If there were ever a wholesome moment that is worthy of mention, it’s this one that we will talk about today. There’s just something special about it.
It starts with Sandstorm, a two-year-old dog, who was looking to find a forever home through a rescue organization called One Tail at a Time in Illinois.
The rescuers were hoping to find someone special for her, but it was not going to be an easy task, so the volunteers came up with a brilliant idea on how to help her.
Amazing Photoshoot

The rescuers asked a photographer named Scott Corbett, from Indiana, to do a photo shoot for Sandstorm to help her attract more potential adopters.
It was going really well until something surprising happened all of a sudden. A couple accidentally interrupted the photo shoot because they came to see Sandstorm.
They were actually potential adopters, so Corbett quickly stopped taking photos and took Sandstorm to meet these new people.
The woman who came to see the pup, named Kristin McCoy, actually had been planning to adopt Sandstorm for a while.
She told them that Sandstorm looked a lot like a combination of her two dogs who had passed away. McCoy told The Dodo: “It’s uncanny. We were sad. I admit, I cried a little bit.”

McCoy obviously asked about this sweet dog, and the rescuers told her that she was likely living on the streets of Chicago before she was rescued.
It’s possible that she was used for breeding, but nothing is certain. It would certainly explain some of her behavior.
Alli Rooney, marketing manager at One Tail at a Time, said: “She’s just the sweetest, most affectionate dog. She’s very calm and chill.”
She actually found a forever home pretty quickly after she was first taken in, but then her owners had to return her after just twenty-four hours.
Sandstorm Is Now Echo

Fortunately, she now has a better future ahead of her thanks to McCoy. She continued by saying: “I was like, ‘Oh, no, don’t advertise her too hard,’. Give us a minute. We already missed out on her once.”
The couple was a bit worried about their dog Sinna, who was on her own and how she would react to this new dog. They were hoping that the two would get along great.
They adopted Sandstorm and took her home. Sinna’s reaction to the new dog shocked her parents. It’s almost like the dog felt relieved.
This was good news for the parents, and they knew that they made the right decision. However, just as things were looking up, a tragedy struck the family.

Sinna crossed the rainbow bridge just two days later. It was so sudden and the family was heartbroken. They suspected that it might have been an aneurysm.
McCoy said: “Her very existence… the way she came to us is a bridge to Sinna. So in some way, the three of them live on in this new dog, who is also, of course, uniquely and wonderfully her own person.”
They renamed her Echo because she reminds them of the dogs who came before her and I think that is just beautiful.
