We all know the old story of Sir Isaac Newton and an apple tree. An apple fell on his head and it made him wonder why things fell. Through this revelation, we have learned about gravity.
Well, Isaac Newton isn’t the only one who’s had such an enlightening moment with an apple tree. An owner from Virginia noticed her dog looking at a tree in their yard strangely.
Shortly after, she realized that her pup spotted an apple falling from it, and it resulted in something both hilarious and strange happening next.
What Is He Thinking About?
Dan is one of the most adorable puppies ever. His family loved him so much and living with him has changed their lives forever.
He’s always fun to be around and he enjoys going on daily adventures, even if it’s just going in the yard and staring at a crabapple tree.
I know, it sounds ridiculous. But, Dan noticed an apple falling from the tree. This struck him with curiosity. He was wondering what was producing them.
Could it be the tree? Well, that’s what he’d spend his time on, because his owner noticed that he would start hanging out around the tree.
Every day, he would come around it, stand, and wait for an apple to fall. It was a mystery he had to decipher. He couldn’t go on without knowing the truth.
Or maybe he is trying to learn something else entirely. His owners suspect that he is slowly learning about the nature of gravity.
Until he learns the truth, he will continue his daily mission to walk up to the tree and wait to see if an apple will fall.
Is He Isaac Newton?
After Dan’s family recorded his reaction to the crabapple tree, they posted a picture of him next to a tree on X.
A post like this naturally attracted people and before you know it, many were sharing their reactions to Dan, an upcoming young scientist from Virginia.
One person commented: “Once on a walk in our complex my dog found meat on the ground next to the pool grill. For a week afterwards she always insisted on going over there.”
Yeah, dogs are like that. Many of them will remember places where they found food, or a toy, and they will think that it will spawn again when they walk by that place again.
Another person said: “Gotta get out there and suprise him with an apple once a week, same day, same time. Would be interesting.”
I don’t think Dan has to worry about that. The apples fall from the tree on a regular basis, however, it would be funny if she staged that one fell from it while he was waiting.
Lastly, somebody commented: “Pretty reasonable time allocation on his part tbh.”
Yeah, I mean, what else is he going to do? He’s thinking about serious problems and we all need to acknowledge that.
Nevertheless, it’s just hilarious to see how this pup reacted to something as simple as an apple falling from a tree. Even though he’s not eating them, something about it keeps him occupied every time and I think that’s adorable.
