Having a dog is one of the most fulfilling experiences we can have in our lives. They can do so much for us just by being there, and we can always learn something from them.
Life becomes a bigger adventure when they are by our side, and the one thing that I always loved about them was how they always had funny little habits just for us.
My dog liked to greet me by spinning around for some reason. I never understood it, but it was oddly wholesome to see him do that.
However, what this does to greet his owner from Michigan is still pretty heartwarming, and it perfectly encapsulates why our furry companions are so special to us.
A Funny Habit
Whenever Kobi’s owners come home, he gets very excited. To show his appreciation for their return, he usually grabs one of his toys to greet them.
His parents always love seeing that, and they think this little habit he has is just absolutely adorable. However, recently, something interesting happened.
Kobi’s mom returned home a bit too soon, and he didn’t have his favorite toy with him, so he realized that he had to grab whatever he could to greet her.
The pup took the name tag on his collar and put it in his mouth. Then, he rushed to meet his mom. She saw what he did and thought that it was hilarious.
Kobi couldn’t contain his excitement after his mom came back home earlier, so his reaction was very appropriate. He only wished that he could have found his toy before his mom came home.
Nevertheless, this owner from Michigan thought this small moment was funny, so she posted it on her TikTok channel shortly after.

As can be expected, a funny video with a dog in it can always get a lot of attention, and this one was no particular exception to that rule.
One person commented: “Winston loves to do this too! Except his last resort is his tail that he tries to bring to us.”
Well, in that case, Winston is a very creative dog. I mean, using his tail is definitely a move of last resort if he can’t find anything else.
Another person said: “Displacement behaviors!! Dogs do this when they’re so overwhelmed by emotion they don’t really know what to do with themselves! one of my dogs grabs a toy and the other gets so happy she growls lol.”
Well, this is definitely true in Kobi’s case. He always seems genuinely happy when his parents come home, and this is just his way of expressing that.
Lastly, somebody shared their experience by saying: “Omg that’s so cute, my dog does that too!! Grabs the first thing she sees, her pillow, our shoes, she once even dragged the cats bed with the cat laying on it.”
Well, going through heartwarming comments like this is always fun. It really just goes to show how much they can change our lives, even when we don’t expect it.
Kobi is certainly a special dog whose parents love him very much, and I only wish all the best for him. He deserves it.
