Oklahoma Owner Let His Dog Play Outside In The Cold Only To Realize Something Was Stuck On His Mouth

There’s something especially heartwarming about watching our dogs play outside and enjoy themselves, it’s one of their absolute favorite things to do.

No matter if the day is scorching hot or freezing cold, nothing seems to stop them from making the most of their playtime.

So, when one Oklahoma dog owner let his pup enjoy some time in the yard, he had no idea he was about to witness something unexpected, and a little surprising.

How Did This Happen?

The owner had let one of his dogs out in the chilly weather, assuming he’d get some fresh air, run around for a bit, and then come back inside.

But as expected, the pup didn’t tire out quickly. The owner decided to let him stay out a little longer, until he noticed something unusual in the dog’s mouth.

Calling him back inside, he was shocked by what he saw.

It had gotten so cold outside that the pup’s drool had frozen right on his mouth! That was a clear sign that it wasn’t safe to keep playing out in the cold for now.

Of course, the dog didn’t agree with this decision and tried to convince his owner otherwise, giving him the irresistible ‘puppy eyes.’

Still, the Oklahoma owner knew it was best for his furry friend to warm up indoors before heading back out again.

Amused by the sight, the man recorded a short clip and posted it on TikTok. It quickly caught the attention of viewers, who flooded the comments with their thoughts.

One person commented: “So all labs just smile and close their eyes when being talked to? I thought mine just had a smooth brain.

Yes, as someone whose friend had a lab, I am not surprised. I think this is their way of getting what they want when we have to say no to them.

Another person said: “My dog is 25% husky and apparently that’s all it takes to want to live in the snow.

Well, I think you’d be hard-pressed to find a dog who doesn’t enjoy playtime during winter. I know all my pups loved winter even more than the summer.

Lastly, somebody commented: “My lab simultaneously wants to play in the snow 24/7 but the sits and cries when her feet get cold like ma’am!!! This is on you.

It’s clear that labs, and plenty of other dogs are just big, lovable babies who will do anything to extend their outdoor playtime, even if it’s not in their best interest.

In the end, though, there’s something undeniably uplifting about seeing how much joy they get from simply playing outside.

Their happiness is contagious, and it’s moments like these that make pet ownership so rewarding.
