Illinois Owner Spent $500 On A Vet Exam Only To Discover What Her Dog’s ‘Injury’ Really Was

Life without drama? Is it even worth it?

Well, I’m absolutely positive that Louie, an Illinois Maltipoo, would say a big NO if he could speak.

This strikingly adorable pooch is all about sass and drama, and it’s exactly what makes him so irresistible! I’m not talking about screaming all day long.

No, sir.

I’m talking refined, sophisticated soap-opera acts that Louie has definitely mastered — just like his recent performance that made his mom rush him to the vet, only to find out Louie had played her again.

Master Of Acting

Louie did it — again!

One day, Michele Kidd, Louie’s owner, decided to take a car ride with her dog, only to see him limping and lifting a paw. She was terrified! It looked like Louie injured his foot badly, so instead of proceeding with her day, she immediately rushed the pup to the vet.

What happened next left her speechless.

After a $500 vet exam, the results showed something shocking. Not only was Louie’s “injury” harmless, but it didn’t exist at all!

Apparently, his whole “paw holding” moment was because he didn’t like car rides. So, he had to pretend to be hurt just to avoid it. How about that?

“Off to the vet to check out his broken foot. $500 later… to find out it’s not broken. He just doesn’t like car rides,” Michele wrote in the post.

Relieved that Louie’s paw was fine, the Illinois owner decided to share his dramatic acting with her TikTok followers. Little did she know that Louie’s video would soon explode all over social media.

People related to Louie’s reaction, sharing similar experiences with their own dogs.

One commenter wrote: “I once paid £80 to discover my dog couldn’t walk because he had a leaf stuck on his paw.”

“OMG…almost same happened with us. My dog was holding her paw like that, but come to find out, it was caught on her collar,” another added.

Some simply shared their hilarious reactions to Louie’s genius, “making excuses” for his little act.

“Just needed a paw recharge for the zoomies,” a person wrote.

Car Rides? No! Adventures? Absolutely!

The truth is, Louie’s dramatic reactions make him a real entertainer of the family. His sass and quirks are a part of his character, and Michele wouldn’t trade them for the world.

Sometimes, when not satisfied with a walkie, Louie will bring his mom’s shoes to her, requesting a do-over… Or will drag a bowl to Michele when he wants a second dinner.

And, the car rides? He still pretends to have an injured paw when he’s about to enter the car! Even when he gets tired of holding a paw in the air, he just puts it down and raises the other one. Yup, he’s really that committed to acting!

At the end of the day, his dramatic behavior isn’t really the only thing that makes Louie special. He’s a social butterfly who loves people and makes an adorable companion.

Due to his friendly nature, he gets the attention of absolutely everyone — everywhere he goes.

“He absolutely loves attention from everyone, enjoys going to the park, daycare life and playing fetch. One of his favorite places is the elevator, as all the residents give him lots of belly rubs;” the Instagram post reads.

As for the drama? It’s just there to spice things up, every now and then.
