The park features both a sandy beach area and a grassy fenced section, giving pups options based on their preferences. Clean drinking water stations and rinse-off areas make this spot exceptionally well-planned.
Fair warning though – your car will definitely go home with some sand souvenirs!
2. Amelia Earhart Bark Park – Hialeah
This park soars above expectations! The Bark Park features separate areas for small and large dogs, ensuring safe play for all sizes.
What truly sets this park apart are the agility obstacles scattered throughout.
Sunny shocked me by immediately taking to the ramps and tunnels like he’d been training for the doggy Olympics his whole life! Water fountains designed specifically for dogs keep everyone hydrated in the Miami heat.
Weekend mornings bring a friendly community of regulars who’ve become my go-to source for pet advice. The park’s well-maintained grounds and thoughtful amenities make it clear that Hialeah takes its dog recreation seriously.
3. Lake Baldwin Park – Winter Park
I stumbled upon this 23-acre off-leash dog heaven last summer.
What makes Lake Baldwin special isn’t just its size – it’s the gorgeous lakefront access where pups can splash to their heart’s content.
Shaded walking trails wind through the park, offering a cool retreat even on scorching Florida days. The park even has separate areas for different sized dogs, so your tiny Chihuahua won’t have to dodge the Great Danes.
Locals call this the “Disney World for dogs,” and I’d have to agree. Just remember to bring towels – your soggy doggy will definitely need a good dry-off before the car ride home!
4. Logan Gate Dog Park – Tampa
Unlike the bigger, flashier parks, Logan Gate offers a cozy, neighborhood feel that reminds me why community parks matter so much.
The double-gated entry system is a thoughtful safety feature that prevents escapes during the exciting coming-and-going transitions.
The park provides plenty of shade trees. While not the largest on this list, Logan Gate makes up for size with charm and convenience.
The locals maintain it with pride, often organizing cleanup days and social events for the regular four-legged visitors.

This compact park packs in everything needed for a quality play session. Water stations, waste bags, and plenty of tennis balls keep the fun rolling.

When the concrete jungle starts feeling overwhelming, Gemini Springs offers an escape into Old Florida’s wild beauty. The moment we arrived, Sunny’s nose went into overdrive with all the fascinating natural scents.
This spacious park surrounds actual freshwater springs, with trails leading through moss-draped oaks that look straight out of a fairytale. The off-leash area features both sunny spots and deeply shaded sections perfect for hot days.
Wildlife sightings are common – we’ve spotted turtles, birds, and even a non-threatening snake (from a distance)!
Pack a picnic and make a day of it.
7. BrewHound Dog Park + Bar – Neptune Beach
Who says dog parks can’t be fun for humans too?
This innovative concept features a membership-based dog park attached to a laid-back bar serving local brews.
The park itself is immaculately maintained with synthetic turf, shade structures, and separate areas for different sized pups. Staff members (called “Rufferees”) monitor play to ensure everyone stays safe and happy.
Meanwhile, humans can enjoy cold beverages from the covered patio overlooking all the action. It’s the perfect solution for pet parents who don’t want to choose between social time and dog time!
