Have you ever wondered how a dog feels when they have been suddenly abandoned by their owner? I was always curious about this.
I assume they are confused at first, and then they start to get lonely and scared, only for the reality to set in. They have been abandoned, and their owner isn’t coming back.
This is all just guessing, but I think it’s pretty close, and I always feel sad for any pup who has to go through something so traumatic.
Unfortunately, the pup we will be talking about was also abandoned by his owner, but this was not the end of his story. Fortunately, kind residents noticed him and decided to act.
Concerned Residents Reacted
After the kind neighbors from Missouri first saw this sweet pup, they knew that they had to act. He had a sad look on his face, and he was probably still waiting for his owner to come back.
The residents left a bowl of water and food for him in case somebody came to pick him up, but that never happened.
So, they did what needed to be done. The neighbors called Stray Rescue of St. Louis for help, and they responded immediately.
A woman came to the site, and she approached the dog slowly. As she was moving closer, she realized that the dog was actually happy to see her.
I guess he knew that he was abandoned, but he just wanted another chance, so he tried to ask for it from this kind rescuer.
She was able to get the leash off him and immediately moved him into her car. The residents were relieved that this pup was rescued so swiftly.
During their ride to the shelter, the woman noticed how happy the dog was. His tail was wagging the whole time. Once they got there, he received all the help he needed.
The rescuers asked more about his situation, but they were unable to confirm what happened to him or what circumstances led to his abandonment.
It didn’t matter now. The pup, now named Beans, was in good hands, and these rescuers will do everything they can to help him find a new home.
Everyone Online Was Relieved
After this incredible rescue, the Missouri rescuers posted Beans’ story on the internet, and the outreach was incredible. The video got so much attention from dog lovers. It was amazing.
One person commented: “He went from boofing at you from the tree, to being the biggest smiley Boi in the car.”
The pup just looked a little uneasy at first until he realized that this kind woman only wanted what was best for him. That was the moment when everything changed.
Another person said: “You are just a heartless shell of a person to just tie up your dog and walk away. Your loss will be someone else’s gain! Thankful he landed with good people until he gets his own new family.”
Yes, I won’t claim to understand what led to this dog ending up in this situation, but I won’t make any judgments. I do agree that the only thing that is important right now is that the dog is safe.
Lastly, somebody commented: “I will never understand how humans can be so cruel….poor sweet dog probably wondering what was going on. Heartbreaking.”
I can only imagine how this entire situation must have been for him. I think the only thing he was hoping for was to see his owner again.
However, considering that wasn’t going to happen, he was more than happy to accept the help from people who actually do care for him, and that’s what matters the most in this situation.
