I’ve seen animals get into very unusual situations or accidents, and I always keep wondering how on earth they ended up like that.
I mean, you’d think that they would have some self-preservation instincts when they pull strange antics at home or on the street, but they just don’t care.
Our pets are generally known for being mischievous but they rarely get into serious and life-threatening problems.
However, what happened in this story will baffle just about everyone, as it highlights how animals can surprise us when we least expect it.
Nobody Expected That

Not too long ago, Shelby Elko and her husband went to their local home improvement store in Michigan to buy some concrete.
Elko wrote in a TikTok post: “We were standing there doing the math on how much concrete we needed and heard a faint meow.”
Shortly after, they were able to pinpoint where exactly the noise was coming from and it was from the inside of a wrapped stack of lava rocks.
They were baffled by this, so her husband rushed to tear a hole through the plastic wrap, only to witness something shocking.

A tiny kitten fell straight out of it. Luckily for him, he only fell a small distance and was fine. The man immediately took the kitten in his arms to examine it.
Everyone was baffled after finding the kitten. They kept wondering where her mother was. They checked to make sure there were no more kittens stuck inside the wrap.
The couple then contacted their local humane society in Michigan to ask around about this kitten and what would be needed from that moment onwards.
Oscar Has New Siblings

They told Elko that the kitten couldn’t have been more than five days old, so he would need plenty of help. After that, Elko started feeding him with a bottle.
She named him Oscar for the time being, and did her best to care for him. Shortly after taking in this kitten, Elko received information that Oscar’s mom and siblings were found at the same spot.
She went to see if that was really the case, but there seemed to be inconsistencies. Oscar was too young to be part of the litter, so it’s safe to assume they were not his real family.

Nevertheless, Elko planned to keep all of them and that will help Oscar make friends and learn how to live a normal life with other cats in the house.
Elko noted that even though he is still very small, he is very lovable and he is already beginning to socialize a lot with his new foster siblings.
She planned on officially adopting this kitten in the near future, and that will mark the beginning of her new and amazing life journey.
