Monte was walking through his neighborhood when he noticed a small stand on the sidewalk. A child was seated behind it, and several people had gathered nearby. From a distance, it looked harmless, but something about the scene made him pause.
He could hear coins being exchanged and lighthearted voices carrying across the street. A sign leaned against the stand, though the words were too far away for him to read.
As he stepped closer, Monte noticed movement just behind the table. It was a detail he could not ignore, and his stomach tightened at the thought.
When he finally read the board, he realized the reason the whole scene had felt so strange.
What Was Going On?!
It was an ordinary day for this man from Florida, named Monte, who was driving home when he saw something unusual on the street.
There was a kid with a sign, and he was not alone. A dog was right next to him in a very comfortable crate.
The kid apparently started a petting zoo business. He is charging people $1 to pet the sweet dog. Judging by the dog’s reaction, he had already agreed to this.
However, there was just one problem. The man from Florida approached and realized that the dog was actually his. He came up to the boy and asked him about the pup.
The little boy told the man that she was just out and about on the street, and he placed her in a crate in order to start his new business.
Monte noted that the dog was a retired bomb-sniffing canine and he loves attention more than anything. He is a very friendly dog, which is why he agreed to entertain this boy with his idea.
The man also emphasized the fact that the boy was actually his nephew, so there was no dog ‘theft’ whatsoever.
He also said that quite a few people actually approached the boy and gave him a dollar to pet the dog, which was just really wholesome.

Given how incredible this moment was, Monte decided to post the brief moment with the boy and his dog on Instagram, where it attracted a lot of attention.
One person commented: “I believe that kid and your dog have business agreement.”
Yes, well, I believe that the dog accepts payment in pets and treats, so it’s a good business model for both of them.
Another person said: “This kid is gonna go places in life..he sees an opportunity to make money and he takes it!!!”
Even at that age, he is showing great potential as a businessman. It’s fortunate that he found the most amazing dog to help him with his endeavor.
Lastly, somebody commented: “Cutest thing I’ve seen all day! Isn’t that a Belgium malinois? Because they can jump over a house, yet he didn’t. Perhaps he prefers the little boy???”
Well, considering that the boy is Monte’s nephew, it’s safe to assume that he already met the dog before and he is just a very sweet and caring pup.
This story is a beautiful example of friendship between humans and dogs. It also illustrates just how friendly most pups are and that they will do anything for us.
