Ryan Finchum was at work in Lowe’s garden section, moving carts and checking rows of plants. It was a regular afternoon. Nothing unusual seemed to be happening.
Then he heard it. A strange sound. Faint but steady. It did not match the hum of machines or the shuffle of customers. It was softer, and it seemed to follow him.
He walked up an aisle only to realize that the sound was getting closer. No matter where he went, it continued.
Finally, he looked down. That was when he realized something small had been trailing him the whole time.
Furry Baby Who Needed Comfort

After Ryan Finchum looked down, he saw a cat staring at him behind a fence. He was pretty shocked, but he couldn’t stop with his work, so he just continued.
The entire time he worked, the cat just followed him around. He was completing his tasks, and she was just there.
She even meowed at him a few times to get his attention. The cat was pretty hungry, so she wanted his help.

Finchum noticed right away how friendly she was, so he knew that he had to do something to help her. She might have belonged to someone. It’s possible that she wandered off from her home.
Finchum’s fiancée, Makena Waldrip, told The Dodo: “There was an abandoned, rusty animal crate over in the grass close to the road. It had a hole in it and looked like it had been there for some time.”
The man immediately called his fiancée to tell her about the cat, and she arrived at his workplace to see if she could help the cat in some way.
Cat Distribution System At Its Best

Waldrip continues by saying: “He told me, ‘I have a feeling about this cat. There’s something about her. I just feel like she’s supposed to be ours.”
The two of them wondered about this possibility, but they were not sure if she would be comfortable enough to drive in a car.
They tried to get her inside a carrier, and the couple was surprised that she just went in. After arriving at their home in Indiana, they prepared a nice and cozy spot for the cat.
She was so sweet. She loved to cuddle with her new humans and it was pretty clear from the beginning that she would adapt in no time.

Waldrip said: “She is genuinely such a sweetheart, and I still can’t understand why anyone would dump her like that.”
After a few days, the cat, now named Tilly, had already gotten used to living at her new home in Indiana. She is a real couch potato and she loves just relaxing and cuddling with her owners.
They are so happy to have her. It’s just wonderful how a random chance led to this cat being adopted. I guess it’s true what they say about the cat distribution system. They sure know how to pick their owners.
