The four-year-old Mastiff wandered through the streets of Morgan Hill, California, searching for kindness and hoping for a gentle hand to reach out. She longed for warmth, affection, and a smile from someone who cared.
Magic believed that somewhere, good people would notice her and offer her the life she had been dreaming of.
When local police finally spotted her, they collected the exhausted dog and brought her to Santa Clara Animal Care & Control in California.
For the first time in a long while, Magic felt relief. At last, someone was showing her she mattered.
Days Inside A Shelter Cage
The staff welcomed Magic with open arms and promised her things would be different now.
They brought her to the vet, where she was examined. Her skin was dry, and her body carried scars.
No one knew her true history, but the leash she wore suggested she had once belonged to someone. The staff scanned her for a microchip, but none was found.
Believing she might be lost, the California shelter placed her on a stray hold, waiting for her family to return.

Today, Magic is staying in a foster home, where she is finally showered with the love and attention she craves. She adores cuddling and spending time with her foster family, who treat her as their own.
Now all that is left is for Magic to find her forever family, the one who will cherish her for the rest of her life.
