Dogs are one of the most compassionate and caring creatures. They shower us with love when we need it the most. Not only do they care for us, but they also give support and love to other dogs and animals who need it.
I’ve heard many heartwarming tales in which dogs displayed their empathetic and loving nature, but the following story melted my heart.
Abby, a lonely dog, and the heroine of the story, became a protective mom to a tiny rescue puppy who had been separated from his birth mother.

A Tiny Puppy In Need Of Love
While Keri, a dog lover, was driving along the road with her friend, she saw a man holding a puppy. The two friends immediately pulled over to check what was going on.
After Keri found out that the man was selling the puppy, she rescued him and took him home. The tiny puppy was 3 to 4 weeks old.
Keri was convinced that this was a sign coming from the universe. She believed that this cute puppy would be the ideal companion for her other dog, Abby, who had been feeling lonely.
The cute pup melted Keri’s heart. She named him Riley.
“In a couple of hours, I have fallen in love with him.”
She couldn’t wait to get home to introduce him to Abby. When she saw him for the first time, Abby was very surprised at how tiny he was.
He was so little that Keri couldn’t find clothes that would fit him. She made him a jacket from a sock.
Abby approached the little pup and sniffed him. After seeing him so tiny and fragile, she felt a strong desire to protect him.
That night, the sweet pup stole Abby’s heart. She felt enormous compassion for Riley, who was separated from his birth mom when he needed her the most. Abby could tell that he missed her very much.
A Protective And Loving Mom
From that day on, Abby became his mom, his biggest support, and his best friend.
The two pooches became inseparable, cuddling and playing with each other all the time. Seeing them together melted their mom’s heart.
“The sweetest thing was when she put her head on top of him,” Keri said.
That was her way of saying that he was safe and that she would always be there for him.
Riley soaked up all the affection and care that they selflessly gave him. He was the happiest pup in the whole world.
Abby was no longer lonely. She had Riley, whom she immensely loved, and she felt proud to be his mom.
The two pups often go on adventures with their mom.
When they need to go somewhere, they often play a game. Keri writes two destinations on two pieces of paper and folds them. She puts them behind her back and lets her pups choose where they want to go.
Both Abby and Riley love their mom very much, and they are her greatest emotional support. The three of them cheer each other on, and when they’re together, they feel invincible.
Keri feels very grateful to the universe for sending Riley to her and Abby. He was just what they both wished for.
“He was perfect. It was just what I’d put out into the universe for us.”
We couldn’t be happier for the two pups and their mom, Keri. They were destined to find one another. Their unconditional love filled their hearts with joy and changed their lives forever.
