Woody And Bear’s Story Takes A Turn
After spending 12 happy years with their family, Woody and Bear were unexpectedly brought to the Humane Society for Hamilton County in Indiana.
When they arrived, the pair seemed disoriented, unsure of where they were or why they’d been left behind. It was clear they hadn’t processed the drastic change.
The reasons behind the surrender remain unclear, and there’s little explanation to go on.
Still, shelter staff chose not to judge the former owners. Life can throw unexpected challenges at anyone, and sometimes people are forced to make heartbreaking choices they can’t explain.
What mattered most now was helping Woody and Bear adjust and find a new family to love them.

As luck would have it, someone saw the post and stepped forward almost immediately. Woody and Bear were adopted—together.
It was a happy ending that no one expected to happen so quickly, but the team was thrilled.
The two pups would now continue their lives side by side in a loving new home with people ready to give them everything they deserve.
