Kentucky Husky Poking His Nose Through Concrete Leaves Officers With A Puzzle They Struggle To Solve

In Lexington, Kentucky, animal control officers began receiving a flood of calls about a Husky stuck inside a sewer drain.

The reports were baffling. No one could figure out how a dog of that size had managed to squeeze into such a narrow space.

With so many people reaching out, officers knew they had to act quickly. When they arrived, the mystery became real. From a slim crack in the concrete, a furry nose poked out, waiting to be noticed.

Rescue Brings Joy

“We don’t know how [he] got in there,” a representative from Lexington-Fayette Animal Care & Control told The Dodo. “But we suspect he went through the drain pipe and could not figure out how to get out the way he came in.”

It was one of the strangest and most amusing calls the team had ever received, but there was no time for laughter. Officers needed to act quickly, especially since they were unsure of Sebastian’s condition.

As they approached, relief washed over them. Sebastian was unharmed and even seemed cheerful despite being stuck in such a tight spot.

“[Sebastian] had always wanted to meet the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,” Lexington-Fayette Animal Care & Control joked in a Facebook post about the rescue. “But instead, found himself face to face with a couple of Animal Control Officers!”

The team immediately lifted a drain cover, giving Sebastian a clear path out. Moments later, the playful Husky crawled from the drain, grinning as if his adventure was completely normal.

“He had a great time being rescued and enjoyed his stay,” the representative said for The Dodo. “He would 100 percent do it again.”

Family Reunion And Happiness

After the rescue, Animal Care & Control contacted Sebastian’s family. His parents were frantic with worry, and they were overwhelmed with relief when they learned he was safe.

Sebastian, however, was too busy enjoying attention and making new friends to be concerned about the trouble he had caused.

“The spunky Sebastian is now safe and sound at our facility and is eagerly waiting to be reunited with his owners!” Animal Care & Control wrote on Facebook.

Soon after, Sebastian was back in his father’s arms. A photo perfectly captured the moment: Dad, nearly in tears, and Sebastian, grinning from ear to ear.

It was hard to be upset with such a mischievous pup. His wide smile was enough to brighten anyone’s day.“We love happy endings!” Lexington-Fayette Animal Care & Control wrote at the end of their post.
