Good Samaritan From Texas Was Shocked To Find A 4-Week-Old Husky In Trash Fighting For His Life

Good Samaritan From Texas Was Shocked To Find A 4-Week-Old Husky In Trash Fighting For His Life

Dogs deserve the very best that life has to offer, and yet, they don’t ask for much to be happy. All they need is a family who will love them with all their hearts.

Heartbreakingly, some dogs end up in the hands of heartless people who don’t feel any compassion toward them and who discard them like trash.

A sweet four-week-old Husky was just a little baby who needed care and affection, but sadly, a cold-hearted person threw him in a trash can in Austin, Texas.

Exhausted and weak, the puppy was close to reaching the point of no return.

Nonetheless, the brave furbaby refused to give up. He started crying, hoping that someone would hear him and save him before it was too late.

A True Hero

A kind passerby heard the faint cries coming from the trash can and immediately rushed to examine what was going on.

When they spotted the tiny pup, later named Kiss, sobbing in the trash, their hearts sank.

The good person took him in their arms. Kiss was cold, and the Good Samaritan could tell that he was holding on by a thread.

They took the puppy to the emergency veterinary clinic, hoping that they had found him in time.

Upon arrival, the vet staff examined him and ran the necessary tests. They discovered that his blood sugar plummeted to a level too low to measure.

Kiss was so weak that he couldn’t even eat.

The vet team stayed by his side and did everything they could to stabilize him. They gave him fluids and tried to warm his tiny body.

Kiss didn’t have the strength to lift his head, but he continued fighting to stay alive.

The Pup Needs A Loving Foster Home

In the morning, the Husky puppy was taken to Austin Animal Center in order to continue his treatment.

However, since Kiss needed more urgent medical care, he was transferred to Austin Pets Alive! (APA!).

The vet team jumped into action. They swiftly regulated his blood glucose, worked on restoring hydration, and started him on antibiotics.

“In a private clinic, care like this would cost over $1,000. At APA!, we do everything we can to keep that cost lower for pets like Kiss — but it’s still a heavy lift…” Austin Pets Alive! wrote in a Facebook post.

The rescue shared Kiss’ story on social media. People were appalled by the fact that someone threw the puppy in the trash and put his precious life in danger.

Right now, Kiss needs a loving foster family in Central Texas who would nurse him back to health. Once the pup makes a full recovery, he will surely find the forever home he deserves.

Thank you to the Good Samaritan who found him and to everyone who has shown him love and care since his rescue.
