Duke, a lovable Golden Retriever from New York City, exemplifies this perfectly. Every time he sees his best friend Julia, his excitement is impossible to contain.
His recent viral video of welcoming Julia to a “pool day” beautifully captures how genuinely happy dogs get when they reunite with their BFFs!
Over The Moon
To say that Duke loves Julia would be an understatement, and the recent TikTok shows it best.
Zarah Kelleher, Duke’s owner, who currently lives in New York, decided to capture the moment Duke realizes his best friend from his hometown is coming over to visit.
Duke, a strikingly adorable Goldie, who has known Julia his entire life, is practically obsessed with her. So, when his mom mentions her name, Duke’s excitement starts slowly building up.
“If you know my golden retriever you know his girlfriend is my bestfriend since childhood & he is OBSESSED with Julia,” Zarah wrote in the video caption.
After Zarah asks “Is Julia here Duke?” the pup immediately rushes to the gate, anticipating her arrival. And then, when she finally shows up at the door, he immediately starts jumping out of happiness.
Duke literally transforms into a giant ball of happiness, wagging his tail and spinning in circles around Julia, until he finally gets to shower her with hugs and kisses.
The video ends with the two sharing cuddles on the poolside benches, until they finally dip in the pool together and have a swim: the perfect ending to an even more perfect welcome!

While Zarah shares moments with Duke regularly with her social media followers, his TikTok video with Julia gained massive attention from people around the world.
Within days, the comment section was flooded with heartwarming reactions.
