This is something Lacey MacFarlane from North Carolina knows all too well. Life with her two Goldies, Cooper and Tucker, is priceless, though sometimes it comes with surprises she never could have predicted.
One morning, Lacey woke up to find Cooper wearing a vet cone that actually belonged to Tucker. At first, she thought it was a one-time mix-up, but when it happened again, she realized there had to be more to the story.
The Cone Mystery Begins
Lacey’s first reaction was disbelief. “How in the world” did Cooper end up in Tucker’s cone? Had he somehow pulled it off his brother? Or had she accidentally put it on the wrong dog herself?
Puzzled but running late, she went on with her day. Yet when she returned home, the same scene awaited her: Cooper once again sporting Tucker’s cone like it was his own.
That’s when she decided to turn to the pet cam for answers.
“Cooper’s adventures! Had to rewatch and see how he got the cone off his brothers head and onto his own… he did this twice,” Lacey wrote in the video.
The late-night recording quickly cleared everything up. Around midnight, Tucker’s cone mysteriously vanished, and the footage showed exactly why.
The guilty party was none other than Cooper. The mischievous Retriever had been filmed tugging and playing with the cone until he managed to slip it right off Tucker’s neck.
But he didn’t stop there. Once he had freed the cone, Cooper continued to paw at it, chew on it, and push it around in pure amusement.
Within minutes, his playfulness took an unexpected turn. Cooper somehow managed to wedge his own head through the opening and ended up wearing the cone himself.
He struggled at first, pawing at it in frustration, but then settled into his new “look” as if nothing had happened.
Lacey, who had already shared the bizarre story with her friends, decided the footage was too funny to keep private. She posted it on TikTok, where it quickly went viral.
“Omg the fact that you have evidence of this is iconic,” one TikTok user wrote.
“I would have gaslit myself into thinking I put the cone on the wrong dog lol,” another joked.
“What did we do before cameras? This would have been an unsolvable mystery haha,” the third added.
Without the pet cam, Lacey admitted she probably never would have figured out the truth.
Partners In Crime At Heart
Despite this mischievous episode, Cooper and Tucker remain the best of friends. They do everything together: eating, sleeping, going for walks, and sharing adventures side by side.
Of course, occasional antics like the cone swap are bound to happen, but that’s part of the joy of having two inseparable brothers.
Just like any siblings, they sometimes tease each other, but their bond always shines through.
